The Georgia Bulldogs are widely viewed as the best team in college football, thanks to their hot start.
Coming off a 12-2 campaign in 2025 that included a second straight SEC championship (a 28-7 win over Alabama) and a College Football Playoff appearance that ended in a Sugar Bowl loss to Ole Miss, Georgia returns quarterback Gunner Stockton and looks to contend again for a national title.
Smart’s record at Georgia stands at 117-21 with two national championships and four SEC titles.
Georgia Bulldogs 2026 Football Schedule
The 2026 slate features nine SEC games for the first time in conference history, a mix of home nights Between the Hedges, tough road environments, and a relocated World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. Key Storylines and Notable Games
Kickoff times and networks for later games remain TBA or fall into announced windows (early, afternoon, night, or flex). Confirmed times include Tennessee State (3 p.m. ET, SEC Network+), Western Kentucky (12:45 p.m. ET, SEC Network), Arkansas (12 p.m. ET, ABC), and Florida (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC).0
Georgia opens at home against Tennessee State, a first-time opponent and FCS program coming off a 0-1 start. The Bulldogs are heavy favorites in a game that will introduce new offensive pieces after significant turnover at wide receiver. Stockton, an All-SEC quarterback in his second year as starter, returns along with tailbacks Nate Frazier and Chauncey Bowens. The defense, particularly the back seven, is viewed as a strength.
The non-conference portion stays relatively light after the opener, with Western Kentucky visiting in Week 2. SEC play begins immediately on the road at Arkansas, followed by a high-profile home game against No. 10 Oklahoma—the second meeting in the series after Georgia’s 54-48 overtime Rose Bowl win in the 2018 College Football Playoff.
Other marquee matchups include a night-window trip to Alabama (Oct. 10), the annual Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry with Auburn at home, and a rare change of venue for Florida. For the first time since 1995, the Georgia-Florida game leaves Jacksonville due to renovations at EverBank Stadium and will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Later road tests at Ole Miss and South Carolina, plus home games against Vanderbilt and No. 25 Missouri, round out a demanding conference slate. The season closes with Georgia Tech in Athens.
Georgia faces four preseason ranked opponents: Oklahoma (No. 10), Alabama (No. 13), Ole Miss (No. 9), and Missouri (No. 25). The schedule’s balance of home games (seven, including the Atlanta neutral site) and four true road contests gives the Bulldogs a path to another 10-plus-win season and CFP berth if they avoid multiple losses in the gauntlet of SEC play.
Week 1 – Georgia 63, Tennessee State 3
AI Overview The No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs opened their 2026 college football season with a dominant 63-3 blowout win over the Tennessee State Tigers on September 5, 2026, at Sanford Stadium.
Week 2 — Georgia 70, Western Kentucky 20
No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs routed the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers 70-20 on September 12, 2026, at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Georgia. Georgia jumped out to a 49-0 lead by halftime, matching the most productive half in program history.
Week 3 – Georgia 45, Arkansas 17
On September 19, 2026, the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks 45-17 at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The game served as the SEC opener for both programs, allowing Georgia to advance to 3-0 while Arkansas fell to 1-2
Week 4 – Georgia 41, Oklahoma 13
AI Overview The No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs defeated the Oklahoma Sooners 41-13 on September 26, 2026, at Sanford Stadium in Athens, improving to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in SEC play.
Georgia’s defense forced four crucial turnovers, turning mistakes into 17 points through the first three quarters. • The Chris Cole Show: Linebacker Chris Cole returned a fumble 85 yards for a touchdown and recovered a second fumble in a stellar defensive performance.
Hot Start by Stockton: Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton completed his first nine passes, finishing 14-of-25 for 171 yards, including a 35-yard touchdown pass to Talyn Taylor.
Expectations remain high in Athens. With Stockton leading the offense, an experienced defense, and Smart’s consistent program building, Georgia is positioned as a top national contender once again.
Results will fill in starting today as the Bulldogs take the field against Tennessee State.
Atlanta City FC is Atlanta’s incoming National Women’s Soccer League expansion club, set to begin play in 2028. It is owned by Arthur M. Blank through AMB Sports and Entertainment, the same group that operates the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United FC. The franchise was awarded in November 2025 for a then-record $165 million expansion fee and will share Mercedes-Benz Stadium with Atlanta United, using a lower-bowl configuration of about 28,000 seats.
Atlanta City FC: What To Know
The name, crest, and colors were unveiled on September 28, 2026, after a months-long process that included fan and community input. A public launch party is scheduled for October 4.
Brand and identity
The club’s official identity centers on Atlanta’s history of resilience and community. The circular crest features a phoenix—the city’s longtime symbol of rising after the Civil War—with an “A” formed in the bird’s shape. It is surrounded by a four-petaled dogwood blossom (representing unity and community) and grounded by roots (honoring history and foundations).
Primary colors are Atlanta Red (a lighter shade than those used by the Falcons and Atlanta United, creating a family connection without identical branding), Georgia Peach, Platinum Metallic, and Black Char. Officials described the palette as linking the team to the city’s sports heritage, hospitality, business and cultural leadership, and perseverance. The short wordmark is “ATL CTY.” The club has said it will not use “ACFC” to avoid overlapping Angel City FC’s branding.
Chief Business Officer Deandra Duggans emphasized that the name and look were chosen to stand independently from Atlanta United while still belonging to the same city and ownership family. “We wanted to make sure that this club stood independent,” she said. Arthur Blank framed the project as a club “built for the entire city.”
Facilities and operations
Home matches will be at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Training and headquarters will be at a dedicated complex on a 33-acre site at 1033 Franklin Gateway in Marietta, near Atlanta United’s Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground. Plans include an approximately 38,000-square-foot building, four full-size fields, and two half-pitches. The project, valued at more than $100 million, broke ground in April 2026 and is part of a larger AMBSE investment along the Franklin Gateway corridor. Completion is targeted before the 2028 season.
Aflac was announced in early 2026 as a front-of-kit sponsor in a multi-year deal described as one of the larger jersey partnerships in women’s sports. Leadership appointments have included Duggans as chief business officer and Keith McCloat as CFO.
Context in Atlanta soccer
Atlanta has been a strong soccer market since Atlanta United’s 2017 MLS debut, which produced rapid on-field success, record attendances, and an MLS Cup in 2018. The city is also home to the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center. Adding an NWSL club in 2028—alongside another expansion team in Columbus that will bring the league to 18 teams—extends that investment into the women’s professional game.
A separate amateur/semi-pro side also using the Atlanta City FC name has competed in the UPSL Georgia Premier Division. That club is distinct from the NWSL franchise.
The professional Atlanta City FC is still more than a year from its first roster and match. Its early public work has focused on brand, facilities, founding-member deposits, and positioning itself as a city-wide club rather than an extension of the existing men’s team. Whether that approach translates into on-field competitiveness and sustained local support will be the story of 2028 and beyond.
Model Jazzma Kendrick has accused rapper Rick Ross of physically assaulting her and splitting her lip, posting Instagram Stories that quickly drew reactions from 50 Cent and others — including South African star Cassper Nyovest — as Ross stayed silent.
Kendrick, a model and luxury real estate agent who dated Ross on and off since early 2025, posted after a follower complimented her looks and said they understood what Ross saw in her. She replied: “He saw a punching bag.” She then shared photos of a swollen, injured lip with the caption, “The day Rick busted my lip and the day I left.”
Jazzma Kendrick Accuses Rick Ross of Abuse
In follow-up Stories she wrote: “I don’t know a lot of things, but I do know that a man that puts his hands on me, is a man that never loved me and never will. It’s always good until it isn’t. If a man hits you one time, he will do it again. Don’t give him the opportunity. Value your life and leave.” She did not specify when or where the alleged incident occurred or whether she contacted police.
The pair first appeared together publicly around the launch of Ross’s RR22 vegan luxury bag line in Hollywood, Florida, in August 2025. Their relationship was marked by public speculation, including viral clips of Kendrick appearing to pull away from kisses, a reported breakup that fall, and later reconciliations with sightings into 2026. This is the first time physical violence has been explicitly alleged.
50 Cent, Ross’s longtime rival, responded on social media: “This punk put his hands on baby girl, he stressed that album didn’t sell. I’d laugh at him, but domestic violence is not a joke.” Cassper Nyovest, who has previously received shoutouts from Ross, posted that Ross “just lost a fan in me. I can’t rock with nighas who beat women.” Ross has not publicly addressed the claims.
Rick Ross Responds To Allegations of Physical Abuse
“I have never laid a hand on Jazzma Kendrick. Never. That’s not who I am and that’s not how I move. I loved that woman with a pure heart. Real love. The kind that comes from the inside, not for cameras. And what I got back most of the time was disrespect. Public curves, pulling away, the whole performance. I still showed up and tried to treat her like a queen. Those lips and that ankle? She fell down the stairs. She was wearing high heels, she was a little tipsy, she missed a step. I was the one who picked her up, cleaned her up, and massaged her body until she felt better. That’s the truth. Y’all can run with whatever narrative you want. I know what I did and what I didn’t do. The Boss don’t put his hands on women. Period.”
For Atlanta readers, the story lands close to home because of Ross’s longstanding ties to the city. In June 2026 he celebrated the 20th anniversary of Port of Miami at the Fox Theatre with the Atlanta-based Renaissance Orchestra, the Sainted Trap Choir, and guests including 2 Chainz and CeeLo Green. He has spoken about Atlanta’s influence on his career and invited local heavyweights onto that stage. Hip-hop’s Atlanta ecosystem — from radio to clubs to the artists who regularly collaborate with Miami and New York figures — is already circulating the posts.
Allegations of this kind remain just that until investigated or adjudicated. Kendrick’s posts are her account; Ross has offered no public response. Anyone experiencing abuse can contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or thehotline.org. In metro Atlanta, Partnership Against Domestic Violence (padv.org) and local shelters provide confidential help.
The conversation now turns on whether Ross will speak, whether authorities become involved, and how the hip-hop community — including Atlanta’s tightly connected scene — treats the accusation.
Kandi Burruss says Todd Tucker’s new project is “drag Kandi to sell my tickets.”
Kandi Burruss has weighed in on her ex-husband Todd Tucker’s post-divorce project, ’Til Divorce Do Us Part, and she is not buying the framing. In a sit-down interview clip circulating widely among Real Housewives of Atlanta fans, the singer and former Bravo star accuses Tucker of using her name and their history to move tickets.
Kandi Burruss Says Todd Tucker’s New Project a ‘Drag Kandi To Sell My Tickets’
“It’s drag Kandi to sell my tickets. That’s basically what it is,” Burruss said.
The clip comes as Tucker promotes ticketed screenings and live Q&As around his self-produced film and series. Promotional material has positioned the project as the other side of the story after Burruss’s own “I Do. I Did. I’m Done.” tour and public comments about their split.
The project that sparked the latest round
Tucker, a former RHOA producer who left the show to date Burruss, released a trailer in September 2026 for ’Til Divorce Do Us Part. In it, he discusses the aftermath of their marriage ending, including dark moments after the split. One of the most circulated moments features fellow RHOA alum Peter Thomas asking whether Tucker and Burruss had threesomes during their marriage. Tucker replies that they did “for most of” their nearly 12-year relationship.
Burruss responded at the time in a statement to People, calling the disclosure an attempt to “sensationalize our sex life to stretch his five minutes of fame.” She did not deny that consensual threesomes happened. She objected to him putting private marital details back in public after the divorce. “What consensually happens between a husband and wife in the privacy of their marriage is exactly that—private,” she said. “His current behavior has only confirmed that I did the right thing by getting divorced. I Do, I Did, I’m Done!”
How they got here
Burruss and Tucker met in 2011 while he worked as a line producer on Season 4 of RHOA. They got engaged in 2013, married in April 2014 (the wedding was filmed for the Bravo spinoff Kandi’s Wedding), and share two children, Ace and Blaze. Each also has an adult daughter from a previous relationship.
Burruss filed for divorce in November 2025 after what she later described as a specific turning-point situation in July 2025. The split included a custody dispute before they reached a settlement in March 2026. They agreed to joint physical and legal custody. Under the deal, Burruss paid Tucker a six-figure equalization amount and he moved out of her home. Their parenting plan also requires written consent before either parent puts the children in filmed or commercial content.
Months after the divorce was finalized, the former couple still vacationed together with their kids, presenting a relatively cooperative co-parenting picture in public. The latest trailer and ticketed events have put that truce under strain again.
Can she control the story?
That is the question the clip’s poster put to viewers: Do you think Kandi can control how Todd Tucker tells his story?
Legally, the answer is mostly no. Once a marriage is over, neither spouse owns the other person’s memories or narrative. Tucker is entitled to talk about his experience, just as Burruss has talked about hers through music, a tour, interviews, and Bravo. What she can do is refuse to participate, issue statements, and remind audiences that his project is being sold, in part, on her fame.
That is exactly the line she drew in the interview. In her view, the project is not a standalone story about a man processing divorce. It is a product that needs her name on the poster to fill seats.
Fans in the replies split along familiar Housewives lines. Some called her hypocritical given how much of their marriage already played out on television and in her own stage work. Others said airing intimate details after the papers are signed is a different move than living a public marriage while it was still intact.
Either way, the pattern is clear. Their relationship started on a reality show, was documented through a wedding special, survived years of Bravo storylines, ended in a public divorce, and is now generating competing ticketed products. “Drag Kandi to sell my tickets” is Burruss’s blunt summary of the latest chapter. Tucker’s camp would likely say he is simply telling his side. Audiences will decide which version they are willing to pay for.
Selecting the ideal mattress is still one of the fastest ways to improve rest. Sleeping position, body type, temperature preference, and how much you want to spend matter more than brand hype. The good news for 2026 is that online mattress shopping has matured: long trial periods, better cooling tech, and frequent sitewide discounts make it easier to buy without walking into a showroom.
This article is going to show you some of the top mattresses for getting a good night’s sleep. All of these items are available to purchase online.
Here Are The Best Mattresses For Good Sleep In 2026
We will specifically discuss the following types of mattresses:
Mattresses are one of those items that customers have very little middle ground about. They either love them — meaning they got great sleep — or they hate them (they didn’t sleep at all).
Best Mattresses Overall
So, the following products we’ll showcase have features that many customers enjoy and have found to be valuable.
Side sleepers quite literally put themselves in an untenable position. Not only does the habit of sleeping on your side, but uneven strain on a mattress, but it just hurts the body after a while.
If you want a mattress that’s best for side sleepers, you need to consider those with contouring features.
If back pain is a problem of yours, many mattresses may contribute to the issue rather than it solve it, unfortunately. But there are some brands that work better than others.
Here are the best mattresses to relieve back pain.
The key to getting good sleep is to follow several good practices that are tried and proven. Let’s get into it:
Listen to Your Body
If you wake up with stiffness, soreness, or pain, especially in your lower back or neck, your mattress or sleeping position may need to be adjusted. Experiment with different sleeping positions, pillow placements, or even a different mattress until you find what works best for you.
Practice Good Sleep Hygiene
Good sleeping posture should be paired with good sleep habits. Maintain a consistent sleep schedule, limit screen time before bed, and create a relaxing environment conducive to restful sleep.
Ensure Proper Mattress Support
Firmness: The right firmness ensures that your body is supported in a way that maintains natural alignment. A mattress that is too soft can cause your spine to curve unnaturally, while one that is too firm can create pressure points.
Durability: Check your mattress’s condition. Over time, mattresses can sag, losing their ability to provide proper support. If your mattress is sagging, it may be time for a replacement.
Final Words
Mattress comfort can take many forms, from the bounce of the top layer to the sturdy fit of the bottom layer. A good mattress can be of great quality yet affordable.
Few things are as enjoyable and comforting as resting on a good mattress after a long day’s work. Do you have such a comforting mattress? If not, you can surely get one.
Although once you get to sleep, it’s been said that a good mattress is a dream, one thing we know for sure is that you pay for what you get. Taking the time to research top mattresses, especially those that fit your particular condition whether it’s back pain or you’re a side sleeper, is worth it. We hope that you’ve found a mattress that helps you to rest comfortably. Sleep tight.

On National Food Service Worker Day, Giving Kitchen honors 15.7 million workers — and the support they deserve when crisis hits.
September 25 is National Food Service Worker Day, a moment set aside for the 15.7 million people who keep restaurants, cafeterias, coffee shops, and kitchens running. Giving Kitchen, the James Beard Award–winning nonprofit that assists food service workers in crisis, is using the day to do more than say thank you.
National Food Service Worker Day
It is also restating a simple argument: the people who spend their days feeding everyone else should have somewhere to turn when life gets hard.
Food service is the second-largest industry in the country. Its workers create community as much as they create meals. They greet regulars, keep the line moving, and make a dining room feel like a neighborhood. Behind that work, though, are people facing financial strain, food insecurity, isolation, illness, injury, and mental health struggles. Research points to high stress and emotional exhaustion across the industry, along with elevated rates of depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. Nearly 4 in 10 food and beverage workers say they experience isolation at work.
That last figure is easy to miss from the guest side of the counter. A busy shift can look like connection. For many workers, it can also feel like standing in a crowded room with no one to lean on.
Hunger among the people who feed us
The day falls during Hunger Action Month, and Giving Kitchen is using that overlap to highlight a bitter contradiction: many of the people who prepare and serve food do not always have enough of it themselves. Research shows three in five restaurant workers experience food insecurity. Among Giving Kitchen’s own clients, more than 70 percent say financial assistance kept them from skipping meals to save money.
“Food service workers spend their days taking care of everyone else. They deserve to be cared for, too,” said Dr. Allison Padilla-Goodman, CEO of Giving Kitchen. “National Food Service Worker Day is an opportunity to say thank you, but gratitude alone isn’t enough. We want food service workers to know that their work has dignity, that they are seen and valued, and that when they’re facing a crisis, they have somewhere to turn.”
Stability as more than emergency aid
That idea sits at the center of Giving Kitchen’s Stability Network, a national effort that connects workers and employers with resources meant to make workplaces more supportive. The network is designed to bring mental health support, crisis resources, and human connection into the places where food service people already spend their days — not only after a disaster, but as part of ordinary working life.
“Stability isn’t just about getting through a crisis,” Padilla-Goodman said. “It’s about rooting people in community and making sure food service workers know that they are not alone. We’re proud to support the second-largest industry in the country by investing in the people who make it possible.”
Since 2013, Giving Kitchen has supported more than 40,000 food service workers facing illness, injury, housing disasters, and the death of a loved one. The organization also offers QPR suicide-prevention training to food service teams; nearly 2,000 workers have completed it. After the training, 94 percent say they feel confident helping someone who may be suicidal, and one in four say they know someone who may need help and intend to reach out. The training is free to food service workers and operators nationwide.
A day for thanks — and for follow-through
National Food Service Worker Day began as Giving Kitchen’s campaign to recognize an industry that touches nearly every American life. Two out of three people in the United States have worked in food service at some point. That is not a niche workforce. It is a national one.
The organization is asking the public to mark September 25 in two ways. First, thank the people behind the pass, the bar, and the register. Second, help make sure workers know help exists. Diners can post a photo or video with #FSWDay and tag @GivingKitchen. Food service workers facing a crisis can ask for help at givingkitchen.org/help.
Gratitude still matters. A sincere thank-you at the end of a shift is not nothing. But Giving Kitchen’s point on this day is sharper than a greeting card: dignity is not only what we say to the people who feed us. It is whether they have a community — and a safety net — when they need one themselves.

Week 1: Steelers 20, Falcons 13
The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Falcons 2013 in Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season on September 13, 2026, at Acrisure Stadium.
The Turning Point: Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt sealed the game in the fourth quarter by intercepting a pass from Falcons quarterback Cooper Rush and returning it 35 yards for a decisive touchdown.
Quarterback Situation: The Falcons played without intended starter Tua Tagovailoa, who experienced back spasms right before the opener, forcing Cooper Rush into emergency duty.
Week 2: Carolina 34, Falcons 3
The Falcons got whipped by the Panthers 34-3 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday, September 20, 2026, dropping to 0-2 on the season.
Panthers Domination: Carolina quarterback Bryce Young threw two touchdown passes to tight end Darren Waller (12 yards and 7 yards) as the Panthers built a commanding 20-3 halftime lead and cruised to their fourth consecutive victory against Atlanta.
Disastrous Start: Starting quarterback Cooper Rush fumbled on the very first offensive play of the game, setting the tone for a sloppy, error-filled afternoon.
Offensive Meltdown: Rush struggled heavily, accounting for three total turnovers (two interceptions and a fumble) before getting benched.
Rookie Debut: Undrafted rookie Jack Strand replaced Rush late in the third quarter, but his very first NFL pass attempt was intercepted and returned for a touchdown by Devin Lloyd.
The 2026 season promises big moments—whether it’s the Spain trip, primetime showdowns, or the push for the NFC South title. Stay tuned to AtlantaFalcons.com for updates, ticket info, and more!
Drake London was the primary beneficiary, catching nine passes for a career-high 194 yards. Bijan Robinson added 194 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries. The combination of Penix’s accuracy, London’s production and Robinson’s workload produced the kind of balanced attack the Falcons lacked while Penix recovered.

There were so many delicious looking things on the menu that my waitress had to help me out with a recommendation. I’m glad I listened to her, the BBQ Brisket Burger was out of this world.
