Waffle House is a home away from home for many customers who enjoy great food without all the bells and whistles. If you’re in Atlanta, you know there’s a Waffle House on nearly every interstate exit, but how does the food taste?
We’ve sourced some food reviews from real Waffle House customers so that you can read for yourself how people feel about Waffle House.
TripAdvisor: Best Waffle House reviews in Atlanta
It’s true, there’s a Waffle House on nearly every major interstate exit in Atlanta. It was designed that way, traveling through the South, visitors keen on a warm cup of coffee and hot food can see those yelllow-trimmed Waffle Houses a mile away and get a quick meal.
Here are some of the better Atlanta Waffle House reviews as posted on TripAdvisor and Google.
Atlanta Waffle House review: 839 Virginia Ave, Hapeville, GA 30354
View this post on InstagramOne reviewer says: “The staff in this store was fantastic. After TWO terrible issues with the other locations on Virginia, it was refreshing to go into a Waffle House where the staff actually cared.
The two ladies serving and the guy cooking were very polite and professional.
This is the ONLY location on Virginia Ave. that I will ever go to again.”
Atlanta Waffle House: 1674 W E Washington Rd, East Point, GA 30344 (404) 766-3955

One Google reviewer says: “This location was recently torn down and rebuilt so everything is shiny new, including the attitudes. Expanded parking, great service, clean and new with all the standard WH favs… what’s not to love?”Atlanta Waffle House: 860 Glenwood Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30316
One reviewer says: “Very friendly staff and great cooks. Its a newly built waffle house, so it’s seem to cleaner than most. As most Waffle House locations, it can get pretty rachet after 1:30am …when clubs and bars close, they’re extremely busy.”
Atlanta Waffle House review: 4346 Fulton Industrial Blvd SW, Atlanta, GA 30336
One reviewer says: “The place was very clean but the waitress messed up or orders and wanted to argue with us about it. The cook came over to apologize for the confusion . He made the experience worth the trip. All in all not the worst but with out that cook I would not venture out to it again. Knowing he works there I might give it another shot some other day. Politeness and accountability go a long way in my book.”
Atlanta Waffle House: 66 5th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308
One reviewer says: “This waffle House serves the waffles which are TO DIE FOR. I went here after my birthday dinner with my friends and their waffles were ALL ANYONE COULD TALK ABOUT! From the variety of DELICIOUS flavors to server’s attentiveness and lovable personalities , there’s no reason not to visit this place for your next event!”
Atlanta Waffle House: 135 Andrew Young International Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30303
View this post on InstagramOn TripAdvisor reviewer said this: “I’ve heard of and seen numerous Waffle House’s while travelling. It seems to be primarily a Southeastern US chain; there are none in California. I suppose it is similar to the Denny’s or IHOP brands in California, although this Waffle House I visited was smaller and skankier than any Denny’s or IHOP’s I’ve been to. Still, if famed Southern chef Sean Brock takes Anthony Bourdain to Waffle House on the latter’s eponymous TV show, I figure it’s worth a try.
“There were 2 Waffle Houses within walking distance to my downtown hotel. This was the closer one. It’s gritty. There are a few tables and booths, plus 2 small counters (one high, one low) facing the open kitchen. All surfaces are hard and hopefully disinfectable. While I was there, the cement-floored kitchen was literally being hosed down with a garden hose (there is a floor drain). The restrooms, which I did not use, seem to be frequented by folks who aren’t eating here and perhaps don’t have a place to call home. If Atlanta had health inspection letter grades posted on restaurant windows (as is customary and required in Los Angeles), this Waffle House grade surely would NOT be an “A”. I opted to order my food to go.”
2. 1701 Northside Dr NW, Ste A, Atlanta, GA 30318-2674
View this post on InstagramOne TripAdvisor reviewer says: “I used to travel to Georgia a lot to visit a friend and that is where I was introduced to Waffle House, that staple of the south. My friend indoctrinated me to Waffle House early on. As a New Yorker, its like walking on to an alien space ship…. Hard to imagine eating there. But eat I have. Many times. Other than the harsh lighting, cockroaches on the counter, greasy incredibly-unhealthy food, and the local “atmosphere”…. it’s a cheap meal. That’s the best I can say and I will leave it at that. — So cheap that when we once left a $5 tip, the waitress ran out to the parking lot to thank us as we were leaving. I guess she never got a $5 tip before?
I’ve brought other New Yorkers in to Waffle Houses in other places and they refused to eat in there. Clearly, expansion in to New York will not be happening any time soon.”
3. 300 Marietta St NW, Suite 104, Atlanta, GA 30313
View this post on InstagramThe food was good and reasonably priced. The pecan waffles were amazing!!!! The service was just ok, we had to ask for drinks and refills several times.
It’s only about a block from the Georgia Aquarium / World of Coca-Cola.
Note: Do NOT try to order pancakes at a Waffle House. They do NOT appreciate it. 🙂 I would go there again.”
4. 1700 Howell Mill Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318-3114
View this post on InstagramOne TripAdvisor reviewer said: “This was my first time eating at Waffle House and i am a fan now. The hype is true and my only complaint is that i took so long to dine there. The staff was great, service was great. Only issue i had was that the dinning area was not as clean as it should be.
5. 3735 Roswell Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30342-4414
View this post on InstagramOne TripAdvisor commenter said this: “This is the best thing you can get… the Fiesta Omelet, add mushrooms, the has browns scattered smothered diced peppered and capped, wheat toast and a large chocolate milk! You won’t be disappointed!”
Final Word
There are few places as well known and prominent in Atlanta than Waffle House. As Waffle House reviews go, you won’t find any extravagant praises or over-the-top commendations, after all, it’s Waffle House.
But what you will find is food made with heart. And that’s what many people desperately desire today. The yellow-trimmed eatery worked its way to popularity by first serving customers in a greasy house-setup in Avondale Estates in Decatur’s shadow.
Now it is one of the greatest American breakfast institutions ever created. And as much as we think we know and appreciate the place, there are tons of insights we can learn about the House from other people.

In no particular order, here are the best Cajun restaurants in Atlanta. Of course, there are more of those type restaurants than the ones listed, but here are our favorites.
6 Feet Under Pub & Fish House
Atlanta Locations:
- 437 Memorial Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30312 | (404) 523-6664
- 685 11th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318 | (404) 810-0040
The two 6 Feet Under restaurants in Atlanta come pretty close to the best seafood restaurants in Atlanta: They have hands-down the best fried catfish in the city as well as all the trimmings you’d expect from Louisiana cuisine.
Here’s one one reviewer says about 6 Feet Under: “Great atmosphere and people were socially distancing which was cool. The service was a little slow but server was nice and made great suggestions. The snow crab was seasoned and hot. Overall a good place for friends and food.”
Mama Janes Seafood & Creole Kitchen
1996 Sylvan Rd SW, Atlanta, GA 30310 | (404) 963-2660
Here’s what one customer says about Mama Jane’s. “Stopped in for some seafood boil as we had a pretty rough day just leaving the cemetery yesterday. Little did I know the owner would personally walk us through the menu. Being born in Louisiana I’m pretty picky about my crawfish and build but this is spiced just right!! I got shrimp sausage corn and a pond and a half of crawfish also a turkey neck and boudin balls. Everything was great.”
Just Loaf’N New Orleans PoBoys & Snoballs
371 Boulevard SE, Atlanta, GA 30312 | (404) 537-6269
Here’s what one reviewer says about Just Loaf’n: “So yourself a favor and have the roast beef poboy. Even being from New Orleans, this is one of the best ones I’ve had. Well done, and I look forward to my next one.”
Juicy Crab
Juicy Crab has quickly grown into a go-to restaurant for seafood in metro Atlanta. After its first location in Conyers, Juicy Crab opened its only location inside the perimeter on Camp Creek and it was over. In 2018, more Juicy Crab locations opened locally:
Here are the metro Atlanta locations of Juicy Crab:
- 2524 Cobb Pkwy SE, Smyrna, GA 30080
- 2205 Pleasant Hill Rd, Duluth, GA 30096
- 3650 Marketplace Blvd #920, East Point, GA 30344
- 3171 GA-5, Douglasville, GA 30135
- 1360 Dogwood Dr SE, Conyers, GA 30013
One reviewer of the Smyrna location said this: “A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! The lb of KING CRAB LEGS were the best. Our waiter Kierra was AMAZING as well. The atmosphere was very nice also. Our food was done in a timely manner!! Loved it ❤️ Last week, I had the 1/2 pound Snow Crab legs were small, but delicious as well. I loved the lemon pepper seasoning more than the all in one. However, they were both GREAT!”
Louisiana Bistreaux
Atlanta Locations:
- 1375 Virginia Ave, East Point, GA 30344 404-762-6755
- 1496 Church St, Decatur, GA 30030, 404-963-1463
- in Buckhead inside a Hampton Inn hotel 404) 941-9545
The closest authenticity to New Orleans-style cuisine is Louisiana Bistreaux. The popular restaurant offers traditional Cajun & Creole dishes, plus wines & local craft beers. The original Louisiana Bistreaux is in East Point on Virginia Avenue. In 2017, another location opened in Decatur.
Here’s what one reviewer said about Louisiana Bistreaux: “Superb staff. Others apparently love the food, it seems. The person next to me returned from just days ago visit to again have the shrimp and grits (he said, spicy -full of flavor”). What I had was “ok”, not great. Just had a crab cake (small, not fantastic) and a dessert (not convinced it was made there). Won’t dismiss trying again, just try something else.”
Big Easy Grille
1193 Collier Rd NW Suite D, Atlanta, GA 30318 | 404-352-2777
The Big Easy Grille at 1193 Collier Road, Atlanta. is a neighborhood favorite spot in Midtown Atlanta. Because of its sparse competition, the Big Easy Grille is the only place in Midtown where you can get some legit gumbo, po’boys, fried alligator and crawfish etouffe.
One reviewer said this: “I seldom leave reviews. But this place deserves one! I was super skeptical about eating here, but I wanted gator bites so we decided to go with it. Honestly, really glad I did. The gator bites were cooked perfectly, but they’re tossed in some kinda sweet/spicy tangy sauce. It was good, but honestly could’ve skipped out on that, just personal preference. My finance ordered the bourbon salmon BLT which was absolutely divine & perfectly cooked!
“My black & bleu burger (asked for medium rare) on the other hand was extremely undercooked, literally raw, seems like only the outside was seared. But I showed my waitress who was extremely kind, & she was very apologetic & had the cook whip me up a new one to go, since I was already full. Overall, the experience was amazing, They deserve 5-stars! The burger was a mistake, & it was corrected. No need to deduct or let it effect the rating. We’re all human, we make mistakes! If you’re thinking about eating here, don’t be skeptical, go for it because you won’t be disappointed. We left happy & full, will definitely be returning!”
Bon Ton
674 Myrtle St NE, Atlanta, GA 30308 | (404) 996-6177
Here’s what one reviewer says about Bon Ton Atlanta: “Wow! Very impressed with the food here. We both had fried catfish baskets and they were delicious. Well seasoned! Also loved the Bourbon Mai Tai. Nice alcohol proportions and was not overly sweet. Not currently open on the inside but they do offer outdoor seating. Too many flies for me so we took our food home but Overall good spot and we will definitely be back!”
Blaze Steak & Seafood
3752 Cascade Rd Ste 110, Atlanta, GA 30331 | (404) 907-4700
If you’re into celebrity-run restaurants Blaze Steak & Seafood, owned by entrepreneur Todd Tucker and wife Kandi Burruss, is it.
Here’s what one reviewer says about Blaze Steak & Seafood: “Our food order came out in a timely manner. Ordered steak medium and was cooked to perfection. Shrimp & Grits were delicious. I would have to say by the reviews they have definitely worked out the issues from the opening. Got to support our local restaurants so give them a try.”
See what’s on the menu at Blaze Steak & Seafood.
Esco Seafood
447 Edgewood Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30312 | (470) 355-5497
This fairly new seafood restaurant owned by rapper 2 Chainz on Edgewood is bringing in rave reviews from customers.
Here’s what one reviewer says about Esco Seafood: “It was a true pleasure to meet the executive chef Shantel… to hear this young lady story is truly inspiring. Her dishes the Salmon Louis and Seafood Linguine was perfect.”

Believe or not, but relatively few people know about Chick-Fil-A’s secret menu. What do you know about it?
This article is going to show you some items on Chick-fil-A’s secret menu. If you’re familiar with Dwarf House, the original Chick-fil-A, the secret food menu is something you know all about.
Chick-fil-A is part and parcel made of red Georgia clay. This is indisputable ever since a small eatery called the Dwarf Grille opened right under Atlanta’s nose in tiny Hapeville, Georgia back in 1946. Since then millions have become loyal fans of the restaurant known for the bad-spelling cows singing how to “Eat More Chiken.”
What’s On Chick-fil-A’s Secret Menu?
How do you get to see Chick-Fil-A’s secret menu? You generally can’t be the drive-thru — these are dine-in options only. And you’ve got to ask (be nice) one of the workers. That’s how you’ll get to try some of these awesome secret recipes via Chick-Fil-A’s secret menu.
Spicy Chicken And Egg Biscuit
The Spicy Chicken and Egg Biscuit is something you’ll never see on the Chick-fil-A menu, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have it.
How To Order It: Just tell the cashier that you want to add egg to your Chicken Biscuit.
Buffalo Chicken Sandwich
The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich is what you get when you ask for hot sauce on your Chicken Sandwich. The way they do it is just great.
The Double Decker Sandwich
The Double Decker Sandwich is one that very few Chick-fil-A servers can master. But for those that do, it’s a great treat.
Chicken Quesadilla
Chicken Quesadillas aren’t something you’d normally think would be served at Chick-fil-A, but this food item is so good that it should be added officially.
Spicy Charbroiled Chicken Sandwich
We all know that chicken is Chick-fil-A’s thing, so this Spicy Charbroiled Chicken Sandwich is a specialty that is right up their alley.
The Double Double Down
Special shoutout to the Instagram accounts @nocatsgotluv4me and @pass_the_salt and @hack_themenu for their endeavors in the world of secret menus. Check them all out for more food hacks.
How Do You Order From Chick-fil-A’s Secret Menu?
Chick-fil-A’s secret menu can be ordered by asking an employee for some of the options available. That means you can substitute turkey for chicken on the chicken sandwich. That means you can add hot sauce to your chicken tenders. You can also get an assortment of sauces applied to your Waffle Fries.
Final Word
If you’ve ever been to Chick-fil-A, you may know that those delicious chicken biscuits or waffle fries can be ordered a number of ways. One reason why is because Chick-fil-A has a secret menu.
There are so many good things to eat at Chick-fil-A. You can also try the restaurant’s Little Blue Menu.

In addition, the wings are small but are very much worth the low price.”

Are you in the mood for some orange juice and champagne?
This article will show you some of the best places to get bottomless mimosas in Atlanta.
Why Are Mimosas So Popular?
You may think a concoction with orange juice as its primary ingredient wouldn’t have the magnetic effect it has on the brunch crowd, but mimosas are not your average adult beverage.
Drink lore has it that mimosas became popular a short distance from Ellis Island in New York as European immigrants bought their customs, cultures, and yes, mimosas, to America. The mimosa experience spread up and down the East Coast before branching out west.
Today the tasty drink is a mainstay at brunches across the Western world, including here in Atlanta.
Who Has Bottomless Mimosas In Atlanta?
South City Kitchen

More importantly the service was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Our server, Malcolm, was so lively and made us feel right at home. The manager, Chris, spoke with us frequently, gave us recommendations, and made our experience even more enjoyable. This restaurant is the definition of Southern Hospitality. They’ve definitely gained two forever customers. Thank you so much for giving us an experience that’s considered rare in this post-COVID world.”

They made sure we got our money’s worth! The food was delicious. We all got a different plate from the brunch menu and loved it. They definitely add something extra to the waffles that make them taste better than normal. The whole table agreed on that. The French toast and the breakfast sandwich were also top tier. The brunch specialty drinks were amazing and our server was top notch about drink recommendations. I will definitely be return soon! Sorry, about the chicken and waffle photo. I started eating my chicken before I took and photo and almost didn’t want to stop for the photo.”

Here’s what one customer says about Escobar. “This is my third time here and it gets better every time. The first time I visited during brunch (2nd & 3rd pictures). It was a great vibe and I was a little early so I snagged a table for one. Service was awesome, and so were the mimosas and hookah. Second time, I just went out for a night drink, but caught great vibes with random people; we bonded over the music. Finally today; this was the best time I visited. The service was great and so was the chicken and beef gumbo. I brought a friend from out of town and the restaurant perfectly described the vibe of our city, my home.”
Fin & Feathers
360 Edgewood Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30312 | (678) 705-5757
Here’s what a customer says about Fins and Feathers: “This was my first time dining in at Fin and Feathers for brunch. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The vibe was great. The hookah and the DJ was the highlight of the entire afternoon. The bottomless mimosas were good (I recommend the peach mimosas). I ordered my steak medium and it came out well-done so that’s was a bummer. But I had some of the waffle and home fries which were amazing.”

Here are the directions:
