• 4 Big Takeaways From the Falcons’ OT Loss To Commanders

    3 Min Read

Playing on the road in a tough environment, the Atlanta Falcons took the Washington Commanders to overtime before losing a heartbreaker.

Despite the loss, there are some positive things we can and should take from the game.

I think the fourth quarter was when the game was decided. Let’s recap:

Key Takeaways From the Falcons-Commanders Game

In the fourth quarter of the Atlanta Falcons vs. Washington Commanders game played on December 29, 2024, the action was intense and crucial for playoff implications.

    1. Michael Penix Is the Truth

Starting his first road game, Michael Penix came alive when he needed to.

The Commanders successfully kicked a 31-yard field goal with just over four minutes remaining, bringing the score to 24-17. However, the Falcons quickly responded.

Quarterback Michael Penix connected with Kyle Pitts for a touchdown with only 1:19 left on the clock, making the score 24-24.

    2. Raheem Morris Will Get Better With Clock Management

Falcons Coach Raheem Morris made some inexplicable coaching decisions that many fans don’t agree with or understand, including not using his timeouts at the end of both half’s.

With 30 seconds left in regulation, Morris elected to not call timeout with the Falcons on Washington’s 36-yard line. Atlanta would miss the kick.

Why not call a run play for Bijan Robinson to get closer than a 56-yard field goal?

After the game, Morris said he probably should have taken the timeout, but he was hoping his rookie quarterback could get a play in quickly.

    3. AJ Terrell Shut Down Terry McLaurin

Falcons cornerback AJ Terrell held vaunted Washington wideout Terry McLaurin to one catch for 5 yards. That’s the best Terrell has played and the worst for McLaurin.

Terrell covered Terry McLaurin on 32 of his 34 routes (94.1%), allowing just 1 reception for 5 yards on 7 targets. Terrell pressed McLaurin on 43.8% of his routes with an average target separation of 1.2 yards.

    4. Feed Bijan Robinson

Robinson had one of his best halves of football during the first 30 minutes of the Washington game, but credit the Commanders with playing keep away in the second half.

Robinson and Tyler Allgeier carried the ball 16 times combined in the 1st half for 101 yards. The duo had 4 combined carries in the 2nd half.

If the Falcons continue to run the ball, it’s likely they win and keep possession of the clock.

    Final Word

During the overtime period, the Commanders managed to clinch the victory when Jayden Daniels threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Zach Ertz, finalizing the score at 30-24. This victory was essential for the Commanders as it secured their playoff berth, while the loss significantly impacted the Falcons’ playoff prospects. But all is not lost, the Falcons just have to win next week against the Carolina Panthers — and hope the New Orleans Saints can upset the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

    Check the Falcons schedule.

The best synthetic wigs are those that pass the eye test as well as are soft to the touch. They are easy to detangle and shine for weeks on end with very little management.

To the eye, quality synthetic wigs are hard to distinguish from human hair wigs.

High-quality wigs can come from different parts of the world, but India is generally regarded as the #1 spot. You should be able to find where the wig originated from in the packaging it came in.

How Much Does A High-Quality Wig Cost?

If you want a high-quality human hair wig, the price will vary depending on several factors. Expect to pay somewhere around $150 to $600 for a quality wig. Again, it depends on the type you get as well as the color.

With so many options available, you may be wondering what to look for in a good wig. Here are some pointers:

    • Human Hair
    • Full Lace or Lace Front
    • Hand-Tied Monofilament Cap

What Are The Most Comfortable Wigs To Wear?

The brand of wig you choose will largely depend on how comfortable it is on you. Some wigs may seem hot to you upon early wearing, but that feeling may soon subside.

Make sure your wig allows your scalp to breathe and that it looks natural atop your head. Once you get a few compliments, it will start to grow on you.

Here are some comfortable wigs you may enjoy:

Nothing transforms your look like buying a wig. If you’re looking for a particular style, color or texture, there are certain brands that you will love more than others.

But which wig brand is the top choice? The one that lasts. No matter what brand of wig you choose to buy, you have to take care of it.

Make sure you regularly shampoo the wig and let it air dry. If it’s a synthetic wig, it’s not a good idea to blow dry it.

Best Lace Front Wigs: Types & Styles

Now that we’ve listed the best lace front wig shops in Atlanta, let’s talk about the types of hair you can purchase. I’m going to go over styles and types so that you get an understanding:

    Full Lace Human Hair Wigs

One of the best-selling products for women in Atlanta are full lace human hair wigs. These offer versatility not seen in regular lace front wigs. The Full lace human hair wigs have the advantage of being made wholly of lace, which means they can be worn in many more styles. As a result, they are more expensive than lace fronts.

    Full lace wigs

When it comes to full lace wigs, density, body and the type of wave the hair has are all important qualities that need to be considered. Here is what to know about the types of full lace wigs in Atlanta and other places.

    Virgin Brazilian Hair

Virgin Brazilian hair has the qualities that many women seek when it comes to wigs. Brazilian hair has a shiny look to it and has a beautiful bounce to it.

The sheen and texture is also highly sought after,  making Virgin Brazilian Hair a hot commodity.

    Peruvian Virgin Hair

Peruvian Virgin Hair has full-body texture and has a wavy quality to it. Because it looks so big, Peruvian Virgin Hair is a favorite on women with slim faces. The difference between Peruvian Virgin Hair and Virgin Brazilian Hair is how they react to water.

Both Peruvian and Brazilian will have minimal shrinkage and shedding when exposed to water. They both also can be styled as straight, curly or wavy.

    Indian Remi Hair

One of the more popular hairstyles for a wig is Indian Remi Hair. This type of hair is a big seller in the United States because of its durability.

Indian Remi Hair is chemically unprocessed, which means that it has not been exposed to heat damage or other things that could cause breakage.

Because it is untreated, Indian Remi Hair is considered one of the healthiest types of human hair.

Finally, here is a start-to-finish look at the lace front wig install process:

The offense will go as far as the arm of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins. In the wings, and over his shoulder, will be rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who the Falcons drafted in the first round.

“Kirk is trying to win a Super Bowl,” Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said. “Kirk is in full-blow preparation mode to set the Atlanta Falcons up for the best success that they could possibly have.”

Said wide receiver Drake London: “He’s an all-around pro. He does everything right — off the field, on the field.”

For his part, Penix has made it clear that he just wants to learn from one of the best.

“I’m super, super blessed to be able to right here in this position right now, obviously with a veteran in front of me,” Penix said at rookie minicamp in Flowery Branch, Georgia. “Just learning from him and going about my business each and every day. Just trying to find ways to improve and get to where he is: multiple years in the league. That’s what I want.”

    Week 1: Chicago Bears 18, Falcons 10

The Falcons offense looked listless on Sept. 8 against the Chicago Bears, losing 18-10 after committing three costly turnovers. Two of those were interceptions by Kirk Cousins. Even still, former Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan says that you can’t judge a book by their first game.

    Week 2: Philadelphia 21, Falcons 22

The Falcons escaped Philly with a one-point win in primetime, edging the Eagles 21-21 behind a last-minute drive engineered by Kirk Cousin.

    Falcons 15, Raiders 9

The Falcons beat the Raiders 15-9 in Las Vegas on Monday Night, but it didn’t look good. The Falcons had to bat down a hail mary in the closing seconds to secure the win. Days later, Atlanta would replace Cousins as the starting quarterback.

    Falcons 31, Giants 7

Penix completed 18 of 27 passes for 202 yards and one interception, though the pick wasn’t his doing. In the second quarter, he connected with tight end Kyle Pitts near the end zone, which was sure to be a touchdown, but Pitts bobbled the ball into the air, allowing Giants cornerback Cor’Dale Flott to make the interception.
