Here’s how to land an audition for a speaking role in a movie filmed in Atlanta.
How To Get A Part In A Movie Filmed In Atlanta
Of course, who you know will never hurt you in Atlanta, if you’ve got the right skills, are humble and hungry, you can go far in the movie business.
The truth is that you can have all the schooling, training and experience, and your name still not get called. But you’ve got to believe!
So let’s look at what it takes to get a part in a movie filmed in Atlanta:
Study Your Craft
Before you take up acting, you should learn how to act. Study your craft, read books on acting, watch films for the technical aspects and techniques of the actors.
You can take acting classes in Atlanta at the following locations:
- Alliance Theatre
- Celebrity Actors Studio
- Anthony Meindl’s Actors Workshop Atlanta

- Drama Inc.
Get a headshot
You may feel that a selfie on your iPhone captures your best side, but that’s not going to work in the movie business.
Before you can get a part in a movie, you need a proper headshot. It is the key to getting in the door for many movie and TV productions.
If your headshot does its job, casting directors will want to see more of you!
Take Small Acting Gigs

There are many hungry filmmakers looking to cast beginning actors who will do it for the experience.
Once you get some reels under your belt, it’s time to take it a step further…
Get An Agent
You need an agent in the movie business in this day and age. You may feel you have the acting chops to make it without one but you won’t be taken seriously if you don’t retain an agent.
You should be able to get an agent without paying them anything until you land a job. If an agent charges a fee upfront, they had better be well-connected with a demonstrable resume.
Once you have representation, you can begin the job of finding a work as an actor.
Don’t Give Up
Things rarely happen overnight in show business. If you don’t get a part in a movie after the first few auditions you attend, don’t fret. it’s going to take patience: Don’t give up.
