CAB Castings is seeking an African American infant to portray a newborn in a paid role on a hit television series filming in the Atlanta area later this month.
The company is casting a male or female baby who is 6 to 9 weeks old at the time of filming, or who can realistically portray that age. The infant should weigh approximately 6 to 9 pounds. Twins are preferred, though single infants are encouraged to submit.
Filming is scheduled for either October 22 or October 23, 2026, in the Atlanta, Georgia area. The exact date will be confirmed closer to the shoot. The rate is a flat $500. A parent or legal guardian must accompany the infant, and production will follow applicable requirements and safety guidelines for infants and minors working in entertainment.

The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta personality recently put out the casting call for the project she is hosting. The casting call frames the premise in one line: your best friend becomes your matchmaker — with a twist. The friend, not the person looking for love, goes on the dates with potential matches and reports back.

The in-person casting call is set for October 13 at 11 a.m. Sign-ups are linked through Eventbrite. What Are Some Casting Scams You Should Avoid?
The Casting Couch
The casting couch is a very real scenario that became popular in the 1970s with the explosion of the drug culture in Hollywood. Unfortunately, many young starlets have fallen victim.
An example of a casting couch is when a person or group of people create a fake casting company to audition young women in the hopes of taking advantage of them either sexually or financially.
Vague Casting Calls
If you run across a casting call that is vague about details, specifically the time/place and what the production is, you should do your due diligence to find out more information before applying for it.
One example of this is a Guardians of the Galaxy casting call that went out more than a month after the Marvel Studios movie had wrapped. The scam was pointed out by Guardians director James Gunn himself.
Prepayment Required
Another casting call scam is one that calls for you to apply by submitting a payment. Legitimate casting companies don’t charge actors or extras to apply for roles.
If you run across a casting call asking you to pay a fee for placement, do not pay and do not apply for the role. It’s a scam.

If you see a casting call and there’s no information on where the audition is taking place, that’s another bad sign.

ATLANTA, GA — Georgia’s thriving film industry is once again shining bright as acclaimed director Judd Apatow sets up shop in the Peach State for his latest comedy, The Comeback King. The Universal Pictures project, which began principal photography in early April 2026, is currently filming key scenes across Macon, Savannah, and surrounding areas, injecting excitement and economic boosts into local communities.
The Comeback King filming in Georgia is a welcome respite from the recent trend of Hollywood films opting out of the Peach State.
In this article, we’ll tell you all about The Comeback King and how it’s filming continues to help Georgia’s movie industry.
What Is The Comeback King About?
The film stars Glen Powell as a country western star whose career takes a dramatic downturn. Forced to return to college to rebuild his life and reclaim his spotlight, Powell’s character navigates an underdog story filled with Apatow’s signature blend of sharp humor, heartfelt moments, and industry satire. Powell co-wrote the script with Apatow and also serves as a producer alongside Apatow, Dan Cohen, and Kevin Misher.
Joining Powell on screen is a stacked ensemble cast including Cristin Milioti, Madelyn Cline, Stavros Halkias, Jin Hao Li, Vanessa Bayer, Tig Notaro, Kumail Nanjiani, and recent additions like Leanne Morgan and others from the comedy world. Original country songs by Lukas Nelson and ERNEST add an authentic musical flavor to the production.

Filming has turned heads in Macon’s College Hill neighborhood and near Mercer University, where crews transformed streets like College Street, Coleman Avenue, Cherry Street, Second Street, and Third Street into movie sets throughout early May. Locals gathered to watch as production rolled, with many jumping at casting calls for extras and stand-ins.
Macon-Bibb County officials noted temporary traffic and sidewalk impacts but emphasized the positive ripple effects for local businesses and the community. “It’s really cool to have film back,” one resident told local media, highlighting Georgia’s reputation as “Hollywood South.”
Savannah Charm Draws the Crew
Production also set up in Savannah and nearby Claxton, drawn by the city’s historic appeal, crew-friendly environment, and local hospitality. Apatow himself hosted a comedy benefit show at the SCAD Trustees Theatre in mid-May while filming continued in the area through mid-June.
The production has actively hired Georgia talent for crew positions, extras, and supporting roles, further supporting the state’s film economy. Georgia continues to attract major projects thanks to its tax incentives, diverse locations, and experienced workforce.
