Serving to-die-for cornbread, greens and choice meats, a new eatery opened in metro Atlanta in 2018 and it’s been kind of a big (and good) deal.
Ms. Icey’s Kitchen & Bar, a restaurant from Sim Walker, the proprietor of Midtown’s Negril Village, opened in a modest shopping center at 1371 Clairemont Road in Decatur, 30333.
It quickly became one of the best black-owned restaurants in Atlanta.
The restaurant has a lively, familial atmosphere. On Ms. Icey’s Instagram page, there are several pictures of close friends, family and associates.
When I visited I had the brown stew chicken and rice, which were exceptional. Most of the dishes come in a black skillet, giving the customer a down-home sort of vibe about the kitchen, as if your Grandma was cooking in the rear.
I also had a margarita, which was a spirited cloudly drink made fresh from the bar. I had another.
The eatery’s Instagram page says, “ms.iceyskitchenThis is Marva, Ms. Chan, and Ms. Karlene on one Carrot Juice! Plus they made Ms. Icey’s recipe. You don’t get this just like that. This is years of tradition and experience going into one Carrot Juice! Trying to tell y’all. This a magic moment and plenty more are coming. @ms.iceyskitchen.
We look forward to going to Ms. Icey’s again and experiencing it once again.

Have you been trying to launch your dream but so far only gotten *crickets*? Does “life” keep getting in your way, delaying you from achieving your biggest goals? I am going to teach you the secret to exponentially increasing your influence, income, and impact.
This is THE #1 SECRET that has helped me overcome huge obstacles (drama, debt, divorce, deaths in my family, you name it!) and achieve many of my biggest life goals. This secret explains:
- how I got 2-Time Oscar-winner Jane Fonda to be my personal mentor;
- how I won the opportunity to give a TED talk;
- how I got TWO BILLIONAIRES to make an offer to invest in my company;
- how I got myself and my entire immediate family(!) accepted into Harvard University;
- how I got executives from dozens of Fortune 100 companies to work with me;
- how I went from having “just an idea” to being invited to join the CEO Council (an exclusive club for entrepreneurs with $1 million or more in revenues/investment) – in just 12 months!
*Spoiler Alert*: My Secret Weapon (my superpower) is MY PITCH.
What is a Pitch? Put simply, a pitch is a brief exchange with an influencer that gives you access to a larger stage.
It doesn’t matter what goal you’re trying to achieve or what impact you’d like to have – nothing will change in your life until you develop a powerful pitch that can influence the right people so you can share your billiance on a larger platform.
Communicating + connecting + influencing people to take ACTION = the ART of the PITCH. And it’s a skill set that every true Queen must master.
Because the truth of the matter is this: Queens don’t spam (to spam is to share your message randomly with people who are not open to receiving it). Queens are not sitting at home wishing they could get someone’s attention.
When Queens speak, people listen, care, and take action. How would your life be different if you learned to communicate in a way that got people to listen, care, and take action? This is the power of a masterful pitch.
If you’re tired of talking about what you want to do and ready to become an influencer who is changing the world and cashing checks, you’ve got to learn how to PITCH LIKE A QUEEN.
If you want 2019 to be different than last year (and the year before), you’ve got to level up your skills. And the most important skill you can master is THE ART OF THE PITCH. So Join Us in This Masterclass!
This Masterclass is For You If:
- You’re ready to start/grow your business
- You want to launch a non-profit that can change people’s lives
- You’re ready to get organized, center your energy, and stop feeling “all over the place”
- You have a message or movement that you want to birth into the world
- You’re seeking to advance your career and expand your influence
- You want to build your personal brand and share your ideas with a larger audience
- You want to attract investors and partners to join you in your vision
- You want to overcome fear, be more confident, and start living those dreams you’ve imagined in your head for so long!
You’ll Leave this 120-Minute Interactive Masterclass Knowing Exactly:
- How to be FASCINATING (not factual!) when you’re giving a pitch, speech, presentation, or meeting someone new
- How to TRANSFER YOUR INSPIRATION to everyone you talk to so that they engage with your message emotionally and become your ambassadors
- WHAT TO SAY in front of ANY influential person or audience, to get them to remember you, connect with you, and take action! (You’ll never be afraid of not knowing what to say again!)
- How to PRESENT YOURSELF to potential partners or investors (including the exact slides to use!)
- How to TRANSFORM your business, increase your income and impact, and start living the life of your dreams in the next 90 days!
You get all this for less than the price of getting your hair and nails done!! Invest in yourself, Queen. Nobody’s going to level up for you. Let’s do this work together!
*Only a Few Seats Left* – Register by 11/15 to get 75% off the class(normally a $200 masterclass – today only $50!) + a FREE website design. This is a life-changing course that will help you master your message and get investors and customers to say YESSS!

WeBuyBlack.com is the largest online marketplace where Black owned businesses may create a shop and sell their products to the world. Our goal is to help circulate majority of our 1.3 trillion dollar spending power within our own community.
What can we expect?
The Inaugural We Buy Black Convention will be like no other! It’s time we clearly identify and #remove our dollars from products and services that disrespect and devalue our community, #replace them with reputable and amazing Black owned brands, and #rebuild the life and community we want to see. The theme for our Inaugural convention is Remove, Replace, and Rebuild: Our Struggle For Collective Economic Dignity. Here are some highlights of the convention:- The Marketplace: 100+ Dynamic Black owned businesses
- Live Concert Featuring Neo-soul recording artist Bilal and other special artist
- Fashion show hosted by co-founders of FUBU
- Business Workshops: 16 Classes, 2 days, courses from business moguls
- Main Stage panel discussions with top business moguls and leading experts
- B2B Speed Consulting: Recieve FREE advice and consultation from professionals
Why should we support? Currently in America, Black people have the highest rates of poverty, of homelessness, of joblessness, of crime, and imprisonment. However, Black people spend more money than any other ethnic group, with an annual purchasing power of $1.3 Trillion. Of all these funds, less than 2% is spent within the Black community. Every ethnic community in America has managed to keep their money circulating among themselves for days and weeks, yet the Black dollars is reported to leave our community within 6 hours. Furthermore, those businesses that we spend our dollars with have historically and more recently direspected and devalued our patronage. Our goal with the We Buy Black movement is to ensure our dollars circulate at the rate equal or better than all other ethnic communities here in America, and to also ensure our future generations have a decent life and well-being.
Final Comments: This weekend is packed with human excellence and we need all our supporters to show up and show out! If you are serious about supporting the Black community and ensuring that our next generations are set on an equal playing field with the world, the We Buy Black Convention is a “MUST ATTEND” event for you.
