If you want to see a glimpse of penile Atlanta’s yesteryear, the prison farm is it.
8. Atlanta Beltline Southside Trail

Once my sister and I arrived we were looking for food… So we road down Virginia avenue. As soon as I saw the sign and it said “Salmon Patties and family owned” I knew this was the place. Terry was our server. She was Awesome!!!! The food is Amazing!!! I’m Pescatarian so I had the catfish. It was fried to perfection!!! My sister had the fried chicken. She was licking her fingers. We will definitely come back before we leave.”

Embattled Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis won the Democratic primary for her seat on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. In her speech, Willis referenced her indictment of former President Trump and co-defendants.
“It’s a message that’s pissing folks off, but there is no one above the law in this country, nor is there anyone beneath it,” Willis said.
She said that when she started to clean up the Atlanta streets, she told people that there was a gang problem in Atlanta. “If you don’t deal with reality; reality will deal with you.”
“We’re in this fight for the long haul,” Willis said. ‘I’ve put together a team of fierce warriors,” she said, referring to her legal team. She said violent crime is down 29%. “We’re doing something right here in Fulton County.”
She noted that her Republican Challenger Courtney Kramer has amassed a vast war chest to unseat her.
“Don’t get confused. She is a real threat because of who backs her and how they back her,” Willis said. “She does not have allegiance to the people of my county. She has allegiance to politics and the powerful interests.”
Willis went on to expand on her efforts to reduce crime, which she said she’s done with the help of neighboring municipalities.
“Some may say that we must choose between justice and safety, but I reject that,” she said. “What they’re really saying is that certain people matter less — that certain people’s children matter less. I reject that.”
She also touched on her trials and that she’s had bomb dogs at her home and a security detail like no other.
“As we have labored in the vineyards of justice, I have been under constant attack. I’ve had to move out of my home, where I raised my two beautiful daughters,” she said. “I owe law enforcement my life. You are absolutely my heroes and I would not have gotten through this without you.”
Willis echoed some of the same points she’s said when she’s been in front of a crowd in Atlanta on other occasions. Willis, speaking at a private fundraiser in Atlanta in honor of her 52nd birthday months ago, opened up on the many verbal attacks and racist threats she said she’s endured over the past couple of months.
Willis has been attacked in an unprecedented fashion by Republicans opposed to her prosecution of Trump and his cohorts.
After much scrutiny and allegations of impropriety from opposed Republicans, Willis and her colleague Nathan Wade admitted to having a romantic relationship. Wade stepped down from the case and Willis trekked on.
At her side was Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, who said, “She’s been going through fire and coming out like a Phoenix.”

A delegation of business leaders and government representatives recently led a week-long economic development tour to South Korea with plans to ignite international investment in Fulton County.
Develop Fulton, a major collaborator behind the overseas initiative, aims to position the county, particularly South Fulton, as the epicenter of unlocked business expansion opportunities in the United States.
Aside from South Fulton, Georgia as a whole has become known as a premier location in the nation for business and economic development.
“Fulton County is the nucleus of smart growth that represents an area uniquely positioned to attract major attention for future business development opportunities,” said Georgia State Senator and Develop Fulton Chairman Brandon Beach. “This mission-driven trip to Korea taps into growing and emerging industries poised to call Fulton County home.”
During the multi-city business development trip from April 20-27, the Fulton delegation engaged in a series of insightful meetings and tours with elected officials and leading business executives across various industries, including logistics, artificial intelligence, biomedical, advanced manufacturing, electric vehicles, and robotics. With a goal to foster strong relationships and showcase the county as a hub for strong business prospects, leaders emphasized Fulton’s strategic positioning, diverse industry landscape, skilled workforce, and exceptional quality of life.
“As ambassadors and economic development evangelists for Fulton County, we remain laser-focused on leveraging every opportunity to highlight the countless ways Fulton remains the gateway for growth in our region,” said Kwanza Hall, Develop Fulton Vice Chairman. “We’re putting a special focus on highlighting the untapped opportunities that abound in South Fulton. By establishing, building, and nurturing these global business relationships, our hope is for these efforts to yield transformative and historic investments across our county and unlock limitless business opportunities.”
Championed by Fulton County Chairman Robb Pitts, the delegation also included College Park City Councilman Joseph Carn, East Point City Councilman Joshua Butler, and Director of Economic Development for the City of Fairburn Sylvia Abernathy. Pitts shared that the trip to Korea marked an opportunity to forge global connections and explore new possibilities, with the goal of collaboratively shaping a prosperous future for Fulton County.
“Fulton County is the catalyst for growth and economic prosperity across this region and the state of Georgia, and it is incumbent upon us to seek new business prospects, domestically and internationally,” said Pitts. “We must remain intentional in our efforts to build on the undeniable momentum that has attracted major corporations and industries to Fulton County. The signing of our joint MOU marks a milestone in this international business effort.”
