Tyler Perry’s Zatima is staffing up on background actors for the show’s upcoming season.

Two years ago,Zatima became a reality after the breakout success of the couple on the BET+ series, Sistas.

When Did Tyler Perry’s Sistas Spinoff Zatima Become A Thing?

BET announced in 2021 that Tyler Perry Studios will produce the original drama Zatima, which is a spinoff of the scripted series, Sistas, which Perry created as well.

What Is Zatima?

Zatima is a combination of the names of two characters from the Sistas series, Zac and Fatima.

Named after the couple, Zatima is the new drama created by Tyler Perry that will stream on BET+. The The 10-episode one-hour series will take viewers into the romantic relationship of popular character Zac and ‘Fatima.

Who Stars In Zatima?

In Zatima, the lead roles are Zac, who is played by  Devale Ellis and ‘Fatima,’ played Crystal Renee Hayslett.

Zatima is executive produced, directed, and written by Perry, “Zatima” in Atlanta.

Where Is Zatima Produced?

The series began production at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta in early December 2021 and will make its debut on BET+ in 2022.
