Georgia Woman Creates a Virtual Concert Experience for Artists

Veleka B., Set Apart and Chosen CEO/Founder

Veleka B. is founder and CEO of SetApartandChosen, the newly improved internet channel that allows Christian and Gospel artists to perform for their fans in a virtual experience.

Due to the pandemic, many artists are having a tough time reaching their audiences through virtual touring and performances.

“”This is what motivated me to relaunch Set Apart and Chosen. Over the past year we have experienced some of the hardest times known to our generation; listening to music is entertaining, and research suggests that the psychological effects of music can be powerful,” she says.

What Is Set Apart And Chosen?

Set Apart and Chosen is a platform that allows churches, gospel artists and faith-based organizations to continue to reach their audiences by equipping them with marketing tools and social media skills.

Set Apart and Chosen can also provide content to the channels that faith-based organizations have already set up to retain visitors.

“We want to explore the benefits of partnering with artists to help them share their music and tour experiences while also helping to monetize their social media platforms,” she says.

A 15+ year Atlanta resident and longtime journalist and content creator, she covers Travel News, Events, Business, Hair Care, and Money with a practical, Atlanta-first lens. Before launching the site, Johnson worked as a substitute teacher in Atlanta Public Schools and later in corporate roles at Home Depot’s Vinings offices. A marketer by training with a degree in business management, she grew frustrated with the fragmented, hard-to-find information about what was actually happening in the city. That gap led her to create AtlantaFi as a curated, one-stop resource for the pulse of Atlanta—#ATLHAPS—without the national noise. Editorial decisions remain independent; the publication does not accept products, meals, or services in exchange for coverage. As Editor-in-Chief, she oversees original local reporting and curated practical guides that help residents, visitors, and businesses discover and engage with the city. Readers turn to her work for timely event roundups, dining and neighborhood insights, business and travel updates, and straightforward money and lifestyle coverage grounded in firsthand observation of Atlanta.
