If you’re looking for a job, you need to bring your “A” game to the interview. That means you need to be as prepared as possible.
In this article, we’ll discuss some top interview tips to make sure you get the job you want.
Try These Top 5 Interview Tips That Work
Here are some topics we will discuss:
- Most Common Interview Mistakes
- Use Strong Action Words
- Show Examples Of Your Work
- Look Professional
The most common interview mistakes you can make all fall under being underprepared. That includes:
1. Most Common Interview Mistakes
- Acting overly familiar with the interviewer: Keep it professional at all times. That means you should limit small talk to only what’s appropriate.
- Nervousness to the point of paralysis: If you freeze up during the interview, there’s no way you can communicate effectively. Take your time and relax.
- Not educating yourself about the company: Do as much research about the company and position as you can. That way, you can speak from a knowledgeable place and you won’t have to guess.
2. Use Strong Action Words
When you finally get your chance to describe yourself and your qualifications, don’t waste it by being timid. Use strong active words instead of passive phrases.
Here are some strong action words to use on your interview:
- Creative
- Enthusiastic
- Determined
- Enthusiastic
- High-Energy
- Motivated
- Powerful
- Priority
- Robust
- Trustworthy
The strong action words you use during your interview should match your resume as well.
3. Show Examples Of Your Work
You never know how your interviewer will ask you to prove your experience or qualifications. They may ask for samples of your work. Have them ready.
You should be able to show them a digital file or printouts of the work you’re most proud of. This shouldn’t be something you need to go look for at the time of the interview.
Having work examples on hand shows that you’re ready for the interview and serious about the job.
4. Look Professional
No matter what the position is, you should always look professional or at least in line for what the job entails.
For example, if you’re applying to work at a bank, it probably would be wise to look like a banker or dress in formal clothes.
You can always buy a suit or style your hair in a way that works in your favor rather than against you.
5. Set Up Your Video Equipment
Because nearly all interviews are being done via video call right now, you need to know how to set up. If you’re using Zoom here are some tips to know.
- Set up your video in a secluded and quiet place in your home
- Make sure you have adequate lighting, but not too much light
- Check your internet connection for lags or interruptions
- Make sure your webcam shows clear and not grainy
- Dress professional and yes, wear pants
Last Words
Make sure you have a copy of your resume in front of you. Also you’ll want to practice being natural in front of a camera.
No matter what, continue to have the confidence in yourself that you can get the job.

If you order a package via Amazon.com in Georgia’s largest city, it may be delivered by a robot. Amazon has expanded its fully electric delivery service, Amazon Scout, to Atlanta.
In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Amazon Scout is poised to be heavily used as a way to safely get packages to customers.
What Is Amazon Scout?
Amazon Scout is an autonomous delivery device created by Amazon, the world’s largest online retailer.
The automated mechanical device is being billed by Amazon as a robotic delivery person, able to bring packages to your doorstep.
What Does Amazon Scout Do?
Amazon has taken to calling the devices “adora-bots,” which can roll at a walking speed. The delivery system has real people, Amazon Scout Ambassadors, who accompany the devices on routes.
What Cities Have Amazon Scout Down South?
In late July 2020, Amazon announced that two Southern cities have been added to the select locations where Amazon Scout is now operating:
- Atlanta, Georgia
- Franklin, Tennessee
The two cities join some West Coast locations after some field tests were approved by Amazon engineers.
In Atlanta and Franklin, Amazon Scout is delivering Monday through Friday, during daylight hours.
For the customer, there won’t be any difference to their ordering process on Amazon.com. Your packages will be delivered as they normally would or by Amazon Scout.
If you order from Amazon Scout, you won’t have to worry about obstacles on your property. Each delivery device can navigate around pets, pedestrians, and other objects in its path to your doorstep.
Final Thought
Amazon says with the addition of Amazon Scout to the Atlanta market, it is looking to partner with local schools in Atlanta to support STEM and robotics activities, helping to build the next generation of innovators.
Scout will also help the company in its efforts toward net zero carbon by 2040.

This article is going to tell you how you can protect yourself when you’re involved in a non-injury car crash in Atlanta.
APD posted about the change in procedure in July 2020, saying “The City of Atlanta Police Department will not be dispatched to the scene of non-injury automobile accidents.”
What To Do If You’re In A Non-Injury Car Accident In Atlanta
If you are in an accident with no injuries, complete the SR-13 form found here: https://sr13-form-georgia.com.
The form is a Personal Accident Report, known by police as an SR-13 Form. When compiling the information, here’s what you need:
- Visually inspect the cars from a safe distance: Examine both vehicles for damage and be mindful of the possibility of explosion.
- Wait for ambulance officers or first responders. The participants have to exchange personal and contact details, insurance and driver’s license numbers.
- Complete SR 13 form: You’ll need the form to provide the information to the insurance company. Additionally, the information documented on the SR-13 form about the broken vehicle will help an auto mechanic to repair it faster.
Remember, if anyone in the vehicles complains of pain or seems to be injured, call 911.. If no one is injured, access the Atlanta 311 website; on your phone. Once you’re there, type “accident” in the search field and click on “APD – Non-Injury Automobile Accidents In The City Of Atlanta”.
APD says it made the change “to protect the health and safety of our staff and customers, and to help mitigate the the impact of COVID-19.”

Delta Air Lines has become one of the most strident airlines in enforcing its mandatory mask policy due to the coronavirus pandemic.
More than 120 people have been banned from flying on the airline for refusing to wear a mask or face covering, according to an internal Delta memo the company recently sent to its employees.
Delta CEO Ed Bastian is resolute in disallowing unmasked passengers to board one of their planes.
“The flight experience today is really positive,” he told The Today Show. ”
Here Is What Delta Is Doing To Keep Passengers Safe
According to Bastian, here are some of the guidelines that make Delta safer than other airlines to fly:
- Planes are sanitized through electrostatic methods
- Planes are only booked to 6% capacity
- Every middle seat is blocked on a Delta plane
When it comes to masks, Delta’s CEO says the airline has ramped up enforcement.
“We’ve been requiring masks since the 1st of May,” he said. “You cannot board a Delta plane unless you have a mask on.”
If you insist on not wearing a mask on a Delta flight “we will insist that you don’t wear Delta,” he said.
Even if you have a medical condition that prevents you from wearing a mask, Bastian says. “You might not want to fly Delta.”
He did say however that the airline is working with doctors on a validation process for customers who can’t wear masks for one medical reason or another.
If you’re wondering how that process works, footage on social media showed a woman passenger kicked off a flight. It is unclear if the video is of a Delta flight.
Another video I will watch a thousand times.
Goodbye, Super Spreader.

What Is Delta’s Mask Policy?
Delta’s official mask policy states that “Delta customers and employees are required to wear a face mask, or appropriate cloth face covering over their nose and mouth throughout their travel, aligning with best practice guidelines from the CDC.”
Not only are masks or face coverings required onboard flights, but also at:
- Lobby Check-in
- Delta Sky Clubs
- Boarding Gate Areas
- Jet Bridges
