Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta continues to set the bar when it comes to world-class sports venues. The stadium has lowered prices on some select concessions, AtlantaFi has learned.
This is the second time over the course of a year that Mercedes-Benz Stadium has cut food prices.
In September 2018 just in time for the Atlanta Falcons football season, the stadium did price reductions on beverages and food. As a result, Mercedes-Benz Stadium has sparked a downward cost trend among the league.
How much does food cost at Mercedes-Benz Stadium?
The latest round of price cuts at MBS was announced in early March 2019. The stadium says that whole-dollar pricing reductions on premium items have been implemented. As a result, the savings are all one dollar each, amounting to 11% reduction in food prices. They are as follows:
- Hot Dog: $1.50 (was $2)
- Pretzel Bites: $4.50 (was $5)
- ATL Bud Burger: $7.50 (was $8)
- Ice Cream Waffle Cone: $4.50 (was $5)
- Chips and Salsa: $2.50 (was $3)
“Arthur Blank has repeatedly challenged us to find ways to lower prices again to further improve a food and beverage experience that already ranked number one in the NFL and MLS in our debut season,” said Steve Cannon, AMB Group CEO. “We’ve listened to our fans from the beginning and these new prices are a result of that feedback. Arthur is going to keep challenging us to go lower and we’re going to keep listening to the fans, so this is probably not the last one.”
Here is a chart to help you see Mercedes-Benz Stadium food prices
Stadium officials pride themselves on “fan first pricing,” which means that dining options have their most loyal customers in mind. As a result, from Blank on down, executives see the Mercedes-Benz Stadium food and beverage program as one of the amenities that enhance entertainment.
Listen to a stadium executive talk about what went into deciding Mercedes Benz-Stadium food prices:
As for the food options, here are some pictures of what you can eat at Mercedes-Benz Stadium:

Atlanta’s Virginia-Highland area has a new restaurant for tapas, tacos and Tequila: Bar.bacoa. This new Atlanta restaurant features Caribbean and Latin American-inspired cuisine.
The masterminds behind Bar.bacoa are James Rangel and Scott Switzer (Taco Cowboy). With Bar.cacoa, the duo are focused on tropical dishes with fresh ingredients, which is sorely needed in Midtown Atlanta.
What’s on the menu at Bar.bacoa in Atlanta?
One of the cool things about Bar.bacoa is that they have alcoholic drinks named after popular movies. The Italian Job (NB Gin Negroni with Campari and Sweet Vermouth) and The Dude (Cutwater Horchata Vodka White Russian with Belle Isle Coffee and Ice Cream.) “Tropic Thunder” is another one:)
Where is Bar.bacoa located?
Bar.bacoa is located at 1000 Virginia Ave. NE Atlanta, Ga. 30306. Here is a map to help you find it.

Hot chicken is the rage in Atlanta’s dining scene right now. But so are chicken and waffles.
Fast-casual is also the dining trend du jour around metro Atlanta restaurants. The concept involves mixing the quick accessibility of fast food with the casual dining experience. Food in Atlanta is also adapting to the various tastes of the migrants that come here to live.

Patrons typically order off a menu board like they would at a burger joint, but the convenience of sitting down to leisurely enjoy their food has made the segment a popular one with the restaurant industry.
The craze hasn’t escaped metro Atlanta’s food and drink scene, which has seen a fast-caz explosion in recent years.

Saito Sushi, Steak and Cocktails opening in Atlanta
The restaurant is being opened by acclaimed restaurateur Stephen de Haan, who is partnering with the Saito brand, which is well known in Asia.
The Saito namesake comes from Japan, where Master Chef Saito built a sushi empire after starting out in Fukushima. Today, Saito has more than 30 restaurants across the world.
“It is this Pacific regional influence that truly inspires Saito, utilizing fresh tropical fruits, balancing delicately with the freshest fish flown in daily to create inspired dishes including rolls and sashimi,” a press release says.
“De Haan is developing an equally inspired beverage program, utilizing techniques from the Red Phone Booth and traditional Japanese ingredients such as shiso and yuzu. Rare Japanese whiskey will be showcased at Saito, served over double reverse osmosis ice pressed into a sphere from a Taisin ice mold.”
The new Atlanta restaurant is part of a plan by Marx Realty to turn the structure into a 48,000-square-foot mixed-up development with office and retail space with top-notch dining.
