The event is set for Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 7:11 to 9 p.m. at Georgia Tech: East Architecture Building 245 Fourth Street NW Atlanta, GA 30332.

Marsha Ambrosius is bringing her soulful sounds to Atlanta’s City Winery for a series of two shows in March 2019. Ambrosius will play the venue on successive nights, March 12 and 13. City Winery is located at 650 North Avenue NE Ste 201, Atlanta, Ga. 30308.
The British singer grew to fame as one half of the R&B/soul group Floetry, where Ambrosius would sing melodies while her partner recited poetry.

Marsha Ambrosius-Billups, yes, she’s gotten married, is an English singer and songwriter from Liverpool, England. She embarked on her musical career as a member of Floetry. Ambrosius released her debut solo album Late Nights & Early Mornings in March 2011.

Headlining the next generation stage at the 2017 Atlanta Jazz Festival opened up doors for Brenda to access larger stages, performing at notable venues like the Blue Note in New York, Rockwood Music Hall, and City Winery. Brenda’s music has garnered attention from tastemaker Gilles Peterson, DJ Jamal Ahmad, Ebony Magazine, AfroElle, Soulbounce, Singersroom, Afropunk, and Soultracks. Her latest album, Brand New Heart, landed her a licensing deal with Japan’s P-Vine Records.

If you miss the Purple One, Venkman’s in Atlanta is going to scratch that itch with a jazz tribute Prince. “The Jazz of Prince: A Night of Prince’s Jazz Funk Compositions” is set for Feb. 24, 2019 from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
Prince, who shined in many genres, did jazzy music just as well as the next guy. But this show will feature some of his more funkier music with a jazz appeal.

As his family continues to grow, NFL Hall of Famer Roland “Champ” Bailey is taking his talents elsewhere. Champ Bailey is selling his Sandy Springs mansion.
The property, located in an exclusive neighborhood, was previously listed for $2.99 million and will sell at a luxury auction with the help of Chrissy Neumann of Ansley Atlanta Real Estate.
Online bidding on the six-bedroom home is set to open February 22 and close February 28 with an Auction Reception held on February 21 at The Boca Raton Resort in Florida for interested bidders.

Coalition Food and Beverage is joining forces with Meating Street Barbecue on Monday, February 25 for a downhome Southern culinary revival that can’t be matched.
On Monday, Feb. 25, Coaltion is hosting a Meating Street Barbecue Pop-up to serve the community some good ‘cue along with your favorite sides.

Meating Street Barbecue in Roswell closed its doors in December 2018, but RO Hospitality friend & pitmaster Brian Keenan is still on the grill and looks forward to joining chef Woody Back to serve up some delights for area ‘cue lovers.
Coalition Food and Beverage is usually closed on Mondays, but they’re making an exception for this event, which will feature smoked meats and more from Roswell’s Meating Street Barbecue.
No reservations or tickets are needed to enjoy the pop up.
