If you needed further proof that Atlanta is the #1 TV and moviemaking mecca right now, a new facility will only add to the case.
In Concert Productions (ICP), an Atlanta-based company, announced that it is opening The ICP Production Centre, a 30,000 square-foot, one-stop-shop for entertainment industry production equipment and gear.
ICP: New Movie & TV Production Hub Opening In Atlanta
The facility’s focus will be on set design, staging and dry-hire broadcast.
A/V rentals, ICP, All Access, ATOMIC and SoCal Rentals are also in on the deal and hope to serve the metro Atlanta film market like never before.
The development will make it easier for big-budget productions to have their events in one place as well as take care of their hardware and software needs.
“Knowing that LA, NY, and worldwide based producers and tech managers needed familiar names and the type of guaranteed service they were accustomed to, ICP brought together friends in the industry under one roof,” said ICP CEO Jay Rabbit. “9 times out of 10, we were all working together on the same productions anyway – so, now we can share sales, support personnel, transportation resources, shared rental equipment, warehouse staff and other vital resources to guarantee a product that is expected.”
“These are all companies we’ve done business within the past so it’s nice to come together and share resources under one roof,” said SoCal Rentals Director of Business Development and Marketing, Brad Williams.
The new purpose-built facility is in west Atlanta and is convenient to downtown Atlanta and a short drive from the area’s largest studios.

Most Americans can safely stop wearing masks, the Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control & Prevention says in new guidelines.
The latest guidance from the CDC flies in the face of what the agency has been saying over the past two years in the COVID-19 pandemic.
The agency’s new rules come as they roll out the COVID-19 Community Levels, which decide what prevention steps to take based on the latest data.
Levels can be low, medium, or high and are determined by looking at hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area.
Do I Still Need To Wear A Mask When Out In Atlanta, Georgia?
Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens follower the Cdc’s lead, dropping indor mandates that governed mask use inside government buildings abd facilities.
Advances in life-saving vaccines, downward trends in cases and—most importantly—the vigilance and resilience of the Atlanta community have all brought us to this new space of hope,” Dickens said in a news release.
“As we continue to rely on data and science, Atlanta remains forever grateful for our public health professionals, our healthcare workers and our frontline workers who continue to give their all so that we may begin this optimistic path toward our new normal.” He said.
Months ago, the CDC along with the City of Atlanta had released guidance advocating that masks be worn indoors as well as outdoors in crowded areas.
Gov. Brian Kemp has passed laws that ban a mask mandate, so the local restrictions are limited in how far they apply.
Earlier in the year, the CDC caused controversy when it came out with the following guidance:
“Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance,” the CDC’s guidance says.
But that’s no longer the case, especially as COVID numbers continue to plummet around the country.
Final Word
Take precautions to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 based on the COVID-19 Community Level in your area.
If you are at high risk for severe illness, talk to your healthcare provider about whether you need to wear a mask and take other precautions.

Atlanta Braves Made $104 Million Last Year

“It was a strong end to 2021 for the Liberty companies. The finish to the Formula 1 World Championship could not have been more suspenseful. The compelling action on the track continues to power the business’s flywheel and we recently made numerous announcements around value-creating agreements. SiriusXM hit record revenue and adjusted EBITDA levels and announced a $1 billion special dividend. The Atlanta Braves are still basking in the glory of their World Series title. Live Nation benefited from incredible fan demand in the back half of the year and all leading indicators point to record performance in 2022,” said Greg Maffei, Liberty Media President and CEO. “We enter this year energized and excited for the next areas of growth across the board.”
With the type of money the Braves have generated, the big question is first baseman Freddie Freeman is a free agent. Will they go all in to re-sign him?
Only time will tell.
