Brought to fruition by Hop City Craft Beer & Wine and Monday Night Brewing, the new “Find a Light” Pale Ale will be on tap in the coming days — Thursday, April 12 at Monday Night Brewing; Tuesday, April 17 at Hop City’s West Midtown location and Wednesday, April 18 at Hop City’s Krog Street location.

Saturday night at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis was a barn burner as Atlanta United won against Minnesota United in cold weather. The victory came courtesy of an own-goal by Minnesota United’s Francisco Calvo in the third minute after Hector Villalba’s head shot bounce off the goal’s crossbar.
The win makes three consecutive victories for Atlanta, which is looking to capitalize on its momentum for the rest of the season.
Both squads began their inaugural season in 2017, one with considerably more fanfare than the other.
Atlanta was not only new last year, but good. They reached the postseason and boasted a boisterous crowd that set attendance records for all but one MLS club. Still, many around the league want to know if they’re for real.
Atlanta United Beats Minnesota United 1-0
At Mercedes-Benz Stadium, AUTD players are focused on the task at hand. “I don’t know that [our goals] have changed, they’ve just maybe gotten a little bit loftier,” technical director Carlos Bocanegra told ESPN. “The realistic goal and challenge is to be in that conversation and be challenging for the Cup every year.”
The Minnesota club stands in utter contrast to the immediate success experienced by Atlanta.
“We are a long, long way from where I want — and where the club wants — us to be,” Minnesota coach Adrian Heath was quoted by ESPN FC as saying. “That is just the reality of where we are at this point in time. We live in a here-and-now world. Everybody wants to go on reality TV and be a star overnight. Nobody wants to put in the work that takes years.”
Determined to get the dub.

Atlanta’s Josef Martinez is No. 1 in the league in goals scored (four) and Miguel Almiron is tops in shot attempts (22). That bodes well for the Five Stripes.
Last season, Atlanta beat Minnesota in its home-opener 6-1, something they’re trying to avoid this time around.
“It was samba football, just everybody wanting to attack and press forward without the right kind of balance,” midfielder Rasmus Schuller told the Minneapolis Star Tribune. “And playing a team like Atlanta that has loads of talent up front, and people running behind the line, you get exposed. And that’s kind of what happened last season. So we don’t want to do that again.”Atlanta is coming from a week off after winning back-to-back matches at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Now, they head up north for what promises to be a fairly frigid evening. Here’s how to keep up with the match

What else would you expect from Three Stacks? The man that gave us “Hey Ya” and a generation’s worth of Southern-fried anthems is at it again. Andre Benjamin, one half of the Atlanta rap brand, OutKast, is designing Tretorns.
The shoe game has always been a fly-by-night endeavor for celebrities. But something about this one just feels so right. The “I André Benjamin will not draw in class” capsule collection is here, people.
The line features 10 unique designs, including a subdued update to the classic Tretorn sneaker many of us grew up with. Those fans aching for new music will have to bump the old jams instead. Content to know that one of the world’s dopest creators has — momentarily — put down the mic and picked up the pencil to sketch beautiful creations that go on feet.
The brand says that most of the inspirations come from a fresh mixture of Tretorn’s prep pedigree and Andre’s classroom daydream sketches.

A whirlwind courtship that started at the Atlanta Hawks’ Tinder Night promotion has led to holy matrimony at last. Ben McCleskey and Avery Armstrong dated for three years after that fateful “Swipe Right Night.” Now, they’ve tied the knot.
“We are so thankful for all the Atlanta Hawks have done for us, especially Mr. Koonin, Janet Smith and Catie Scott,” said Mr. & Mrs. McCleskey in their first joint statement. “It’s been an amazing experience and we will cherish it forever. Our wedding was truly unforgettable.”
The Hawks and Philips Arena hosted the wedding ceremony, which took place in early March 2018, and included more than 250 guests, including Hawks CEO Mike Koonin.
“From that much-talked about promotion, none of us would have imagined that it would lead to our first wedding on the Hawks’ court,” Koonin was quoted as saying. “We all know that sports can unite people like few things can and we are happy to consider Avery and Ben Hawks fans and family for life.”
The night wasn’t complete without a video message from Rosette Pambakian, Tinder’s Head of Brand, who gifted the couple an all-inclusive honeymoon getaway.
“We want to congratulate Ben and Avery on their marriage,” Pambakian was quoted as saying. “We couldn’t be more thrilled that our
Swipe Right Night with the Hawks led to such an amazing story and a life-changing match – and we are excited to send
them on their honeymoon.”Now that’s what I call a slam dunk.

A new concept has opened in Lenox Square that promises to make those long days shopping a little more enjoyable. It’s called Peachtree Pint and it’s literally the cure that “ales” the weary shopper. The walk-up beer dispensary has around 40 varieties of suds on tap.
The new establishment, located at 3393 Peachtree Rd NE, Suite 1004 Atlanta, GA, can be found in the Fashion Café Food Court. Thanks to Lenox lifting its alcohol policy, the food court area is now an open-container zone.
Some of the top beers available include Creature Comforts, SweetWater Brewery, Monday Night Brewing, Scofflaw Brewing Co., Three Taverns Craft Brewery, Orpheus Brewing, Terrapin Beer Co., Cherry Street Brewing and Jekyll Brewing, plus your normal stalwarts such as Guinness, Budweiser, Heineken and Michelob Ultra.
Peachtree Pint is co-owned by longtime Lenox retailers, including Farshad Arshid, Ruel Chambers and Kaan Ergun. The spot is open Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sunday hours vary.
