  • Gocha’s Breakfast Bar Brings Breakfast Delight To Cascade Heights

Gocha’s Breakfast Bar Brings Upscale Southern Food To Atlanta’s Cascade Area

    3 Min Read

Leave it to a celebrity hairstylist to serve up exactly what the masses need. Gocha Hawkins, known for styling the coifs of mega-personalities like Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Kandi Burruss and other stars, recently opened Gocha’s Breakfast Bar in the Cascade area of Atlanta.

Aside from being an hairstylist and cosmetologist, Hawkins, who originates from Detroit, Michigan, felt like the Cascade area was neglected when it came to upscale dining options.  “What I wanted to do was take breakfast, combine it with a bar, and make sure that people are having a great time,” Hawkins told Black Enterprise.

Now taking reservations: Gocha’s Breakfast Bar in Cascade

The result is an upscale neighborhood restaurant that is sure to be an Atlanta favorite for a long time. We told you about this new spot among our listing of new Atlanta restaurants to try in 2019, but now that it’s here, let’s dig in, shall we?

Gocha’s Breakfast Bar: What’s on the menu?

Gocha’s Breakfast Bar has a delectable menu, including such faves as Shrimp & Grits, So Fulton Steak & Eggs, Chicken & Waffle Stack and Gocha’s Impossible Burger With Parmesan Truffle Fries. There’s also Gocha’s Krunch-Tastic French Toast, and “Better Than Yo Momma” Buttermilk Pancakes.

If you’re a mimosas type O’ guy or gal, the bottomless variety can be found here along with a pretty rowdy beverage program: Hawaiian Pineapple, Morning Kiss and the Blood Orange Mimosa are early faves.

Gocha’s Breakfast Bar: What are the hours + location?

Gocha’s Breakfast Bar is located at 695 Cascade Rd SW STE 440 Atlanta, GA 30331 inside the Publix Shopping Center on Cascade and Fairburn Road. The hours are Monday – Friday  7 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday  7 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Bryan Davis, vice president of retail services for Ackerman & Co.’s Retail division, represented Gocha Hawkins in leasing space for her new fast-casual restaurant-concept, Gocha’s Breakfast Bar.

“It was important to my client to open a restaurant that would complement the existing development growth and serve the strong demographic mix in the area,” said Bryan Davis. “The added visibility of a busy shopping center anchored by Publix made this an even more attractive location to introduce a higher-end restaurant concept.”

When it comes to restaurants, Atlanta is quickly gaining ground on some of the dining capitals around the United States.

Fast-casual is the dining trend du jour around metro Atlanta restaurants. The concept involves mixing the quick accessibility of fast food with the casual dining experience. Food in Atlanta is also adapting to the various tastes of the migrants that come here to live.

Patrons typically order off a menu board like they would at a burger joint, but the convenience of sitting down to leisurely enjoy their food has made the segment a popular one with the restaurant industry.

The craze hasn’t escaped metro Atlanta’s food and drink scene, which has seen a fast-caz explosion in recent years.
