Atlanta Black Money Exhibit: Opening reception
The Black Money Exhibit features “money trees” with over 300 rare, obsolete and currently circulating paper money, as well as other money and art objects from more than 80 countries in Africa, Europe, and the Americas, depicting 10,000 years of history. The Black Money Exhibit is created by Dr. Harcourt Fuller, a history professor at Georgia State University, and a 2018-19 Fulbright Global Scholar. It is designed by artist Irvin Wheeler and curated by Tracy Murrell.
This event is free and open to the public.
The Black Money Exhibit is recognized by UNESCO as part of the International Decade for People of African Descent (2015 – 2024).

A new popsicle shop has taken metro Atlanta by storm, to the delight of customers in Decatur. Steel City Pops, a gourmet pops company, opened in October 2017. Steel City Pops in Decatur is shaking things up.
The goodies initally opened a pop-up shop at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta in mid-June, getting a taste of the metro ATL market. The business specializes in natural ingredient frozen treats and all-gluten-free treats sweetened with raw, organic cane sugar ( no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives).
“We are a family-owned, all-natural, gourmet popsicle company that opened in Birmingham, Alabama, in 2012 and have since grown to 19 locations across Alabama, Texas, and Kentucky,” general manager Jack Roberson said in a statement.
The shop has gotten rave reviews from customers as Decatur residents and their kids often opt for a sweet treat after dinner.

Rap sensation Drake and hometown hot group Migos are swinging through Atlant this weekend. The “Aubrey & The Amigos” tour will play three dates at State Farm Arena, beginning Friday-Sunday, Nov. 16-18.
The two hip-hop titans teamed up earlier this year for the song “Walk It Talk It,” which appeared on Migos’ “Culture 2” album. Drizzy meanwhile is set to release his much-anticipated fifth album, “Scorpion.”
