Zumba is a relatively new phenomenon in fitness circles in the United States. It has its origins to Latin America.
The word “Zumba” actually means “to busily move about,” or “buzz” in the Spanish vernacular. It has origins in the word “Zumbar,” which basically means to move excitingly.
Expectations: How Much Weight Can You Lose?
While there aren’t any hard and fast rules about how many pounds you can lose if you do Zumba, a good goal would be 3 pounds a week if you worked out three times a week.
Of course, that would largely depend on how many carbs you take in throughout the day and how many calories you consume on the days you do Zumba workouts.
You can lose about 4,000 an hour doing Zumba. So another way to look at it is that 1 pound = about 3,500 calories.
With that math, you could easily lose the 3 pounds a week by doing Zumba three times a week!

Georgia has some of the most expensive insurance rates in the Southeast, although compared to the rest of the nation, the prices aren’t that bad.
Insurance rates can vary significantly based on factors such as individual profiles, coverage levels, and specific locations. While precise data for the 30344 ZIP code in East Point, Georgia, may not be readily available, we can provide general insights into average insurance costs in the Atlanta area and the state of Georgia.
Homeowners Insurance:
- Atlanta Average: Homeowners in Atlanta pay an average of $193 per month, which is slightly above the state average of $190 and below the national average.
- Georgia Average: The average annual premium for homeowners insurance in Georgia is approximately $2,286, or about $191 per month.
Car Insurance:
- Atlanta Average: The average cost of car insurance in Atlanta is around $2,470 per year for full coverage, equating to approximately $206 per month.
- Georgia Average: Statewide, drivers pay an average of $1,970 annually for car insurance, or about $164 per month.
Factors Influencing Rates:
- Location: Insurance premiums can vary within different ZIP codes due to factors like crime rates, claim histories, and local risk assessments.
- Coverage Levels: Higher coverage limits and lower deductibles typically result in higher premiums.
- Personal Factors: Individual driving records, credit scores, property values, and other personal factors significantly influence insurance costs.
Recommendations:
- Obtain Personalized Quotes: To determine the most accurate insurance rates for your specific situation in the 30344 area, it’s advisable to request personalized quotes from multiple insurance providers.
- Consult Local Agents: Engaging with local insurance agents can provide insights tailored to the East Point community, helping you find coverage that meets your needs and budget.
Keep in mind that insurance rates are subject to change and can be influenced by various factors, so it’s essential to review your options regularly to ensure you maintain appropriate and cost-effective coverage.
How To Save on Insurance
Saving on insurance requires a combination of smart shopping, thoughtful policy adjustments, and taking steps to reduce your risk profile. Here are practical tips to help you cut costs across various types of insurance:
1. Shop Around
- Compare Quotes: Obtain quotes from at least 3–5 different insurers to find the best rate.
- Independent Agents: Work with independent agents who can offer quotes from multiple companies.
2. Bundle Policies
- Multi-Policy Discounts: Insure your home, car, and other assets with the same company to receive a discount.
3. Raise Your Deductible
- A higher deductible (the amount you pay out of pocket before insurance kicks in) lowers your monthly premium. Ensure you can afford the deductible in case of a claim.
4. Improve Your Credit Score
- Many insurers use credit scores to set rates. Improving your score can lead to lower premiums, especially for car and home insurance.
5. Maintain a Good Driving Record
- Safe drivers often qualify for discounts. Avoid tickets, accidents, and DUIs to keep your premiums low.
6. Leverage Discounts
- Ask about specific discounts such as:
- Good Driver Discounts
- Safe Vehicle Discounts
- Good Student Discounts (for young drivers)
- Military or Senior Discounts
- Loyalty Discounts (staying with one insurer)
Final Word
By combining these strategies, you can often reduce your insurance costs without sacrificing necessary coverage. Regularly reviewing your policy and shopping for better deals will help ensure you’re not overpaying.

You should make it your goal to make money this year on your own terms. You can decide whether that’s a side hustle or full-time business you can do from home. Along with using your head, you can use your hair.
If you have long luxurious strands, short curly locks or something in between, you may be able to earn extra cash by selling your hair. You can sell your hair online and locally by taking just a few steps.
This article is going to show you how and where to sell your hair online.
What Are Hair Buyers Looking For?
If you want to expand your hairselling operation, the best way to do that is to offer a variety of types of hair. Here are two things hair buyers are looking for:
10 inch Hair
Many buyers want different hair types, from something that looks like virgin Remy to Indonesian, but the length they need is usually the same. Buyers want hair that is at least 10-12 inches long.
Thick Textures
They also are interested in thickness, which is measured in inches. The thicker the hair, the higher quality it is considered to be. Buyers are not interested in stringy hair that sheds easily.
Now that you know what they’re looking for, let’s get into the money:
How To Make Money Selling Hair
All of the websites we list to sell your hair subscribe to similar best practices. For the most success in selling hair, make sure you:
- Take good photos and plenty of them
- Show photos up close and far away to capture the length and texture of your hair
- Disclose if you are a smoker or have a pet
Once you’ve taken your photos, you’re ready to begin selling hair. Here are some of the best ways to make money selling your hair:
Hairsellon
At HairSellon.com, you can make as much as $700 selling your hair. This hairselling marketplace even has a Hair Calculator Tool to help you see how much money you can make from your locks.
HairWork
HairWork.com only sells what they call “craft-quality” hair, which can be used on bows and such. Price and shipping cost depends on length, color and weight. Prices may change.
Buy And Sell Hair
At BuyAndSellHair.com, you can run ads that sell your hair for you. This is one of the most effective advertising platforms for selling hair.
If you become a verified buyer, you chances of selling on BuyAndSellHair.com increase quite a bit.
Just Sell My Hair
If you go to JustSellMyHair.com, you can post a listing to sell your hair as well. There’s also a Hair Calculator so you can see what your locks are likely to fetch.
Online Hair Affair
OnlineHairAffair.com is a great resource that allows you to buy and sell your hair across the United States.
If you’re interested in donating your hair, you may be wondering what length your hair needs.
Becoming a salesperson may be a bit much for you. You may be wondering if you can sell your hair for wigs.
How To Sell Your Hair For Wigs
A lot of people may not know it, but you can sell your hair directly to companies that make wigs. Here are some companies that buy hair to manufacture wigs.
How Long Does Hair Have To Be To Sell It?
Many wig companies require different lengths of hair before they buy it. The company will list the requirements on their respective websites.
As we mentioned above, if you have hair around 10 inches long, you will have no problem selling it. If it’s shorter than that, you will have fewer people interested in purchasing the hair piece.
Conclusion
You can make some good money selling hair if you’re committed to it. On the other hand, if you just want to make some extra cash, selling hair will allow you to do that, too.
The beautiful thing about selling hair is that it grows back, so you can resell it as many times as you like.

Detroit-based food critic Keith Lee has stirred up Atlanta residents once again. Lee, who embarked on his family food tour, which took five months to complete.
He said that he and his family went to eight different cities.
“My biggest issue with Atlanta is that it’s hard to get food,” he said, referring to the fact that it seemed like his status figured a bit too prominently for his tastes in Georgia’s largest city. “When he did eat, it was delicious.
And Atlanta Comes In Ranked As Number…
Here are the rankings of the 2023 Keith Lee Family Food Tour.
8. Atlanta
Lee and his family’s foray into Atlanta left much to be desired on both sides. Lee’s much publicized brush-up with The Real Milk & Honey restaurant was perhaps the largest incident in the city in 2023.
Things got so bad that Lee said his family received death threats — that’s not cool!
7. New York
In the Big Apple, Lee said that he tried his best to find the best places to eat, but wherever he went it never hit quite right despite his best efforts.
6. Detroit
Despite being from Motown, Lee said that his home city’slack of food diversity led to its ranking where it did.
5. Los Angeles
“Granted, we didn’t do a full food tour there, but he and his family traveled there “like, 20 times this year,” He said, the diverse food scene really made an impression on him.
4. Las Vegas
“Vegas opened the door for me when it came to different foods and different cultures.”
3. Chicago
Almost every spot in Chicago that Lee and his family went to had amazing food.
2. Houston
He said that he couldn’t think of one place in Houston where he didn’t enjoy the food.
1. New Orleans
“In my opinion, what set New Orleans apart — not by much — was the customer service. Everywhere we went, we felt like family. I’m talking about it felt like I was going to my cousin’s house. It didn’t feel like I was going to a restaurant. It didn’t feel like I was going to no established place. It felt like I was going to Auntie, Maw Maw, Paw Paw, whoever house you want to go to.”
With that said, make sure you check out the best restaurants in New Orleans. It also important to support the best black-owned restaurants in the Big Easy as well.
Final Bite
Finding a place to eat in Atlanta is never a problem if you know where to go. East Point continues to be a place with plentiful things to do, see and eat! If you like that part of town, don’t sleep on College Park either.
If you like barbecue, see our list of the Best Atlanta BBQ Restaurants.

Anna Shvets / Pexels If you insist on wanting to fight a fellow passenger or crew member, for the safety of yourself and others, you will be kicked off the flight.
2. Being Disorderly

If you insist on raising a ruckus, especially if you’re drunk Delta says you have to go.
This is how the airline’s rules phrase it: “When the passenger’s conduct is disorderly, abusive or violent, or the passenger appears to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.”
3. Boarding Barefoot

Photo credit: PIxabay Delta allows you to take your shoes off once you’re in your seat, but don’t think you can board barefoot. The airline is strict about prohibiting barefoot passengers (accept babies).
4. Messing With The Crew

Photo credit: VH1 You will promptly be told to sit down and perhaps have to wrestle with an air marshal if you interfere with the flight crew’s activities.
You can be kicked off also for failing “to obey the instruction of any member of the flight crew.”
5. If You’re Contagious

Photo credit: Andrea Piacquadio If you’re not feeling well you should think twice about flying. Delta says if you have a contagious disease that may be transmissible (the flu, a virus, anything), you could get booted off the flight.
Of course, with COVID-19, this is of utmost importance right now. That’s why Delta and other airlines ask you questions now.
6. If You Can’t Buckle Up

Photo credit: Kelly Lacy / Pexels There may be a very good reason why you can’t fasten your seatbelt on the flight, but Delta is not trying to hear it. That’s why the flight attendant visually checks for unfastened seatbelts upon takeoff.
If your seatbelt doesn’t work, they have an obligation to reseat. If your weight is causing you not to be able to buckle up, you may have to get off.
7. Acting Crazy

Photo credit: Bravo TV Delta says they can remove you from a flight, “When the passenger’s behavior may be hazardous or creates a risk of harm to himself/herself, the crew, or other passengers or to the Carrier’s aircraft and/or property, or the property of other passengers.”
8. If You’re Really Sick

Photo credit: CottonBro If you are so sick that you are in danger of losing consciousness or it’s no longer safe, you may be taken off the flight.
The exception is “unless the passenger provides a physician’s written permission to fly.”
9. If You Stink

Photo credit: Peanuts Perhaps you stayed up all night or stopped by the gym before boarding, whatever the case, you can’t get on a Delta flight all funky.
Delta says you could be asked to step off the plane “When the passenger’s conduct, attire, hygiene or odor creates an unreasonable risk of offense or annoyance to other passengers.”
How To Stay On A Delta Flight
If you feel that you’re being wrongly removed, Delta lists a number of recourses for the passengers, including this one:
G) Recourse of Passenger
“Passengers shall not engage in any conduct that would authorize Delta to refuse transport under
this Rule. The sole recourse of any passenger refused carriage or removed for any reason
specified in this Rule shall be recovery of the refund value of the unused portion of his or her ticket.”Read Delta’s complete Contract of Carriage here.
