Ready for a wild time? Zoo Atlanta has re-opened its doors amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Atlanta institution has implemented several sanitation and health protocols to keep visitors safe.

Some safety measures that Zoo Atlanta has instituted include:

  • Timed ticketing system
  • No cash
  • Face masks strongly encouraged (all staff will have them on)
  • Rides, playgrounds and Treetop Trail are temporarily closed
  • Food and gifts will be sold from outdoor kiosks
  • All lines and traffic flow at the zoo will be a one-way experience that reinforces social distancing guidelines at all locations where it is feasible.
  • Visuals at some animal habitats will suggest where guests should stand to watch the animals. Pathway guides will be on hand to assist guests and encourage social distancing
