Tang’s Oriental Opening in Dunwoody

If you truly know about Atlanta’s Asian food scene, you know it’s bustling these days. Add another plate to the entry: Tang’s Oriental Asian Pub is set to open this week in Dunwoody.

The new Atlanta-area restaurant comes to us from chef Stanley Wong and restaurant consultant Clayton Parker.

The eatery, which will be at the Politan Row food hall, leans heavily into Chinese cuisine through a Bangkok lens, which will be served across the 60-seat space.

Where Is Tang’s Oriental?

Tang’s will be in Politan Row Ashford Lane in the space formerly occupied by Mamacita’s inside Perimeter Mall. The address is 4550 Olde Perimeter Way, Dunwoody, GA 30346. Here’s a map to help you find it.

Why You Should Check Out Dunwoody

Dunwoody, Georgia, just north of Atlanta, offers a fantastic mix of suburban charm and exciting activities. Here are some cool things to do based on what’s popular and unique about the area:

If you’re into outdoor adventures, Treetop Quest at Brook Run Park is a standout. You can zip-line through the treetops or navigate obstacle courses high above the ground—it’s thrilling for all ages, with options starting as young as four. Speaking of Brook Run Park, it’s the largest park in Dunwoody, spanning over 100 acres. It’s got a massive playground, a skate park, hiking trails, and even a dog park, making it a perfect spot to spend a day outdoors, especially since it’s free.

For nature lovers, the Dunwoody Nature Center is a gem. It’s a serene escape with 22 acres of trails, wetlands, and a hammock garden where you can kick back and relax. They host events like the Butterfly Festival, where you can see tons of monarchs in action, which adds a magical vibe to the place.

Shopping fans will love Perimeter Mall, the second-largest mall in Georgia. It’s got over 150 stores—think Apple, Zara, and Macy’s—plus great dining options like The Cheesecake Factory. It’s a modern treasure hunt with an open-air feel that makes it more than just a mall. Nearby, Dunwoody Village offers a cozier shopping scene with boutique stores like Under the Pecan Tree, perfect for unique finds.
