Saints + Council Breaks Ground on Second Location at Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody

DUNWOODY, Ga. — Popular Midtown restaurant Saints + Council is officially on its way to the suburbs. City leaders joined owner William Pitts and the team for a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday evening at Perimeter Mall, marking the start of construction on the concept’s second location.

The new restaurant will occupy a roughly 7,800- to 8,000-square-foot space on the mall property along Ashford Dunwoody Road, near Lazy Dog. Spur Hospitality, the Atlanta-based group founded by Pitts, is targeting an early 2027 opening—likely March—for the modern American spot that first debuted at Colony Square in December 2021.

Saints + Council Opening in Dunwoody

Pitts, a Dunwoody resident, has said the expansion holds special meaning. “This location is especially meaningful to me because Perimeter Mall is essentially in my backyard, just about a mile away from where I live,” he stated earlier. “I’m deeply passionate about the community I call home and wanted to extend the brand here to serve my neighbors in a space that feels familiar yet entirely its own.”

The original Saints + Council is known for its elevated yet comfortable atmosphere, featuring refined wood beams, fireplaces, and a large island bar, along with a tech-enabled service model that lets guests move freely between the patio, lounge, and tables. The menu focuses on seasonally driven modern American cuisine with an emphasis on braised, smoked, and confit meats, plus breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch service, as well as popular signature cocktails.

The Dunwoody outpost will expand on that vision. Plans call for a U-shaped building with a central courtyard patio, mid-century exterior elements including a slate roof and heavy timber, limestone and reclaimed wood accents, vaulted interiors, an outdoor fireplace, and a garden room with a year-round fireplace. The space is expected to seat about 307 guests. Culinary enhancements under Spur Hospitality’s direction, including the recent addition of Chef Ian Winslade as culinary director and managing partner, will also shape the new kitchen.

Spur Hospitality, which also operates Cuevacía at Colony Square, has emphasized building a positive workplace culture alongside its growth. Pitts has described the brand’s mission as reshaping the industry through healthy environments for both guests and staff.

Perimeter Mall ownership has welcomed the addition. Julian Soto, regional vice president of leasing for the center’s owner, called Saints + Council a “strong addition” that will enhance the shopping center’s role as a community gathering place.

Construction is now underway following the groundbreaking. No exact opening date has been set beyond the early 2027 target, and further details on hours, reservations, and the final menu are expected closer to launch. For now, Dunwoody residents and Perimeter-area diners can look forward to a familiar Midtown favorite arriving in their own neighborhood.
