Netflix Set To Film Last Season Of Ozark In Atlanta

The Netflix hit Ozark is set to begin filming its final season in Atlanta. Starting December 2020, local residents can expect to see crew and production for the series around Atlanta.

A film notice tweeted by Everything Georgia gives the date and time the production crew will be in Atlanta to begin filming Ozark.

Ozark’s Final Season Filming In Atlanta

The tweet, which has since been deleted, said: 

“Blue Cat Productions, LLC will be filming on Thursday, December 10 (from 8:00pm to 2:00am) at Brickworks Atlanta, 1000 Marietta St. NW, Atlanta, HA 30318. Crew will prep the area on Dec. 8 and Dec. 9  and will strikeall materials on December 11.”

Ozark is a series centered Marty Byrde, a financial advisor who takes his family on the run after he gets involved with a money laundering deal that goes bad. Soon, the Byrdes find themselves subject to the whims of a Mexican drug cartel.

Instead of showing you Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks, which is what the series is based on, you get some Peach State piedmont. The movie is filmed in Georgia, primarily in Atlanta and Savannah.

Ozark Filming Locations

The hit series has filmed up and down Interstates 85 and 75 in Georgia, going as far as the coast as well as North Georgia. Much of the filming has been done around Georgia’s best beaches, including:

  • Lake Allatoona
  • Lake Lanier

Where Was Ozark Filmed?

Inside and outside the perimeter, actors have shot scenes in different parts of metro Atlanta. Some other locations where Ozark was filmed include:

  • Braselton (Chateau Elan)
  • Canton
  • East Atlanta (Starlight Drive-In Theater)
  • Marietta
  • Norcross
  • Stone Mountain Park
  • Woodstock
