The film was directed by Juel Taylor of Creed 2 fame. Foxx also executive produced the movie along with Datari Turner.

The Piano Lesson
The Piano Lesson, which stars Samuel L. Jackson and John David Washington, is a Netflix film that portrays post-Depression era Pittsburgh and a family that happens to hold onto their most cherished heirloom, the family piano, which is adorned with decorations from a slave.
A Man In Full
A new series — Man in Full — began filming in Atlanta on August 8, 2022. The show, commissioned by Netflix, is a six-episode limited series. Netflix has yet to announce when the release date for the series will be.
