Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A will be adding express drive-thru lanes for customers who order through their mobile apps, the restaurant recently announced.
Spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic’s necessity for contactless orders, Chick-fil-A devised mobile express lanes and have been testing them for more than two years.
Chick-fil-A Introducing Mobile Express Lanes
You can bet that customers in Atlanta and elsewhere will love the mobile express lanes when they come to the city. The news arrives more than a month after the restaurant announced that it would be building a two-story location to better serve customers better.
The express lanes will gradually be built across 300 Chick-fil-A locations, the company says.
How Does Mobile Orders Work At Chick-Fil-A?
Once you place a mobile order, you can select “Mobile Thru” as your pickup method and follow the signs at the restaurant. From there, you’ll be able to scan a QR code and pull up to pick up your food.
“If you’ve placed your curbside or carryout order ahead using the Chick-fil-A App and location services are enabled, the app will be able to tell when you’re close to the restaurant so we can start preparing your order. Also known as geofencing, this technology allows the kitchen extra time to prepare your meal and reduces your wait time,” it says in a company press release.
Final Bite
Chick-fil-A has consistently been voted one of the top fast-food eateries in America. Along with solid customer service and a secret menu, the restaurant may not be the trendiest but it gets the job done.
