Wait staff was good and attentive. I had the Veggie Omelet with Grits. The Omelet was excellent; the grits were good but not creamy enough to my liking. The croissant that came with the meal had a horrible spoil taste. My friend enjoyed her Jerk Chicken and Waffles. I would definitely come back.”

Here’s what one Google reviewer says: “I really wanted to get back in shape and at this price you couldn’t beat it. However, if you’re not knowledgeable about gym equipment I don’t suggest this location. There are a lot of young people standing around talking with shirts on the say “STAFF” However if you ask them which machine would you recommend for abs. They look at you as if you’re speaking Japanese. If you’re able to find a “STAFF” member to show you a machine. He might show you the machine, but tell you “if you don’t understand how to use it just look at the pictures. This is a gym right?”

Here is what one Google reviewer said about Snap Fitness: “Very solid gym. From an equipment perspective, they have most of what you could ask for. They have 2 fully duplicative sets of dumbbells in separate rooms, which, for those who lift freeweights, is great. They have 2 smith machines, and multiple racks where you can setup a bench press, shoulder press, or any other bar weight you can think of.”

“As for accessibility. They do get busy between about 5:30 and 7 pm. That said, even during those times, I can usually get on the machines/weights I need within low wait times.”

“There are trainers as well you can engage. Although I never have, I’ve seen them in action, and they seem to be think things out well, and be incredibly competent.”

Here’s what one Google reviewer says about Unit 2 Fitness: “Small, but great gym. I had boxed in college and was looking for a boxing gym upon moving to Atlanta. Found this place in Midtown, went through the free week trial, and finally decided to sign up.”

“The instructors are fabulous and the desk staff is nice. For the price of kickboxing ONLY, it is not bad, however the other classes are a bit pricey and the contract has a lot of limitations and rules. Due to my busy work schedule, I unfortunately am not able to make some of the classes on a consistent basis, so I wish there were more options regarding class times. The parking lot is also very limited and fills up quickly, so I recommend getting to class early.”

    4 Min Read

A big part of health and wellness is physical fitness. That doesn’t mean that you have to be buff, but you should want to look and feel good.

Atlanta fitness guru Elle Ross has been helping people take better care of themselves by showing them workout routines and techniques.  The Tacoma, Washington native says before she dedicated herself to self-transformation, she was once 40 lbs heavier, depressed and not feeling herself.

If you want to know what safety measures airlines have put in place, here’s what to know:

Typically, you may be asked to quarantine from 10 to 14 days, so you’d better have some vacation days to spare.

How To Save On Holiday Travel

Let’s talk about some ways you can save on holiday travel. Always check Southwest’s Fare Calendar for days with cheaper prices. If you’re traveling abroad, I love Scott’s Cheap Flights as well. Also…

    1. Be Flexible With Your Travel Dates

The Sunday after a holiday weekend is always the most expensive day to travel. Make sure you remain flexible so that you can book the cheapest travel days, which are typically a few days earlier or later than the weekend.

The cheapest days to buy travel is typically a couple days before a holiday — except when those days happen to fall on any of the three weekend days. So that means buying on Tuesday through Thursday is typically your best bet.

    2. Pack One Bag Only

If you want to save money, always only take one travel bag with you. Most airlines charge between $30 to $40 for a carryon bag. That’s up to $80 coming and going.

For example, Delta Air Lines charges $40 for a second checked bag.

Even if you have to wear the same thing for a day, it’s worth it to save on baggage fees.

    3. Look For Travel Bundles

If you need a rental car, you can save money if you bundle that purchase with your airfare. The same is true for hotels, although you typically won’t need one if you’re going home for the holidays.

Travel sites like Priceline and Orbitz has deals galore on trip bundles that include flights and hotel itineraries.

    4. Plan For Cancellations

The holiday travel period is the most vulnerable time for airline cancellations. The sheer volume of passengers makes it almost inevitable that cancellations will happen.

What you can do is prepare by planning alternate travel plans, including a road trip.

    Final Words

If you plan on traveling for the holidays this year, now is the time to book your ticket. Airfare is likely to increase in the weeks ahead as the airline industry tries to make grow profits for the holidays.

The main thing you need to remember is that airline travel has changed drastically since early in the pandemic. You will need to pack differently, including bringing plenty of masks and gloves.

You will also need to adjust your eating habits as many restaurants close their kitchens earlier or still have limited menus.

Whatever you do, try to have fun and be safe on your travels.

Skiplagging is when you buy an affordable ticket that includes one or more stops with the intention of getting off the plane during one of those times.

The practice also throws off the aircraft’s capacity log. But the main reason why airlines don’t like it is because it runs afoul of many airlines’ carriage rules.

Carriage rules dictate the policies of airlines when it comes to who they can and can’t carry aboard their aircraft.
