A pharmacy startup aims to make filling your prescriptions as easy as touching a button on your smartphone. Capsule, a digital pharmacy, just launched in Atlanta, Georgia, where it sees an opportunity to make inroads among the millennial population.
What makes Capsule attractive is that it doesn’t require you getting in your car to visit the pharmacy. Of course, CVS and Walgreens offer prescription deliveries through their apps, but this is different.
Capsule, A Digital Pharmacy, Launches In Atlanta
Capsule’s entry into the Atlanta market follows the service’s successful ventures in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and other cities.
Capsule promises free same-day delivery and “smart” refills to alert you when your pill count is getting low. The service also offers direct contact with area pharmacists by means of Capsule.com, via text or through its app.
“Capsule’s mission has always been to build a pharmacy that works for everyone,” Eric Kinariwala, founder and CEO of Capsule, said in a written statement. “We believe that the core pharmacy experience is fundamentally broken for the hundreds of millions of Americans who take medication regularly, so we set out to rebuild that experience from the inside out.”
Capsule accepts all major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, and works to find
cost savings to pass on to consumers. How To Get Capsule On Your Phone
