There were so many delicious looking things on the menu that my waitress had to help me out with a recommendation. I’m glad I listened to her, the BBQ Brisket Burger was out of this world. The fries were really good too. And then she talked me into getting the key lime pie, it was every bit as good as everything else was. I will definitely go back whenever I’m in Atlanta again.”

The putting area is spacious. Of course it is outdoors, but they offer large heat lamps directly over the seating area. There are two levels to the seating area. The first is a high bar with chairs. The second is a u-shaped outdoor sofa with a center table. All food and drink orders can be placed from your bay. For each game, each player gets 20 chances to “put the ball in the hole”. You can take all 20 swings in a row or rotate players as you’d like. If you aren’t interested in playing any of the game options, you can also dine in or have a round at the bar. Enjoy!”

    Landmark’s Midtown Art Cinema

The mall is a little dated and so is the theater, but they do you have everything that you want here. There are a lot of screens, the rooms aren’t large (that’s nice!), and service was fast. It doesn’t compare to the shiny and oversized theaters in the suburbs, but then again, here you’ll find the Oscar winning movies alongside really well-curated films.”

Starlight Drive-In Theatre and Flea Market

One reviewer says this: “Great for those who have kids. It’s is in a rough area but didn’t have any issues with anyone. Restrooms we’re clean, concessions were slow but reasonable prices. The movie screens are a little dated and could use some remodeling. Otherwise, a great experience.”

There are plenty of appetizing restaurants in the surrounding area that you can choose from. Parking is free. The theater is clean, however, the lady’s restroom did need more attention. It was not filthy, but it did have a strong urine scent on the left wing of stalls. The theater was large and I liked having the option of choosing and reserving my seat ahead of time. Check in was fast and efficient. The recliner seats were comfortable and well spaced from the front and back. I will definitely return to this theater again.”

    AMC Dine-In Buckhead 6

Best Movie Theaters In Atlanta And Movie Showtimes

One reviewer says this: “Cool little spot. The bar served a good drink. The food wasn’t the best at all for the price. However, it’s a 3 in one stop. I would return and recommend to you go. I know for a party of two we both had 2 drinks, a plate of food, and a shared appetizer.”

    CinéBistro

One Google reviewer says this: “Our daughter has been riding here for 5 years and we all love it. They have an excellent reputation in the equestrian community, but what we really appreciate is the community within the barn itself.

More than great riding instruction, the students learn responsible care for the horses and each other. It is truly wonderful to see the students working together to get the job done.”

  • How To Ace A Video Interview: 4 Steps To Get The Job

How To Ace A Video Interview: 4 Steps To Get The Job

    4 Min Read

With all that’s going on, many employers are conducting the hiring process via video call. That means you need to know how to look and sound your best on video.

This article is going to show you how to do well on a video interview so that you can get the job.

How To Do Well On A Video Interview

The first thing you’ll need to do is make sure you have adequate hardware i.e. a device that has a good webcam and audio capabilities.

Obviously, you’ll still want to dress well and look good for the role you’re applying for.

    1. Find A Quiet Place

The #1 thing that will ruin a video interview is if there’s distracting noises and sounds that take place during your call. If you have siblings, roommates or children, make sure you find a room that gives you some quiet.

For added security, you may want to lock the door to make sure no one can barge inside and destroy any chances you have of landing the job.

    2. Dress The Part

Just because the interview is taking place online doesn’t mean you should slouch when it comes to an outfit. Many people position the camera to capture just above their shoulders, but this is a mistake.

As tempting as it is to wear boxer briefs below and a suit jacket on top, don’t it. If you properly dress up for the interview it will put your mind in a more serious and professional place — which is where it needs to be.

    3. Do A Test Run

If you can, test out your equipment at least one hour before your scheduled interview. Anything can happen — the internet could be running slow that day, or your device may be short on battery strength — so make sure you do a test run before the actual interview.

To make sure you have what you need, here are some things you’ll want to make sure of:

    • Adequate lighting
    • Capable internet speed
    • Working webcam
    • Good audio for speaking or headset working properly

    4. Communicate Clearly

Just because you’re talking to a screen doesn’t mean you can get away with not communicating effectively. To make your point, you’re going to have to sell yourself just as hard or even harder than you would if the two of you were face to face.

With that being said, here are some things you’ll absolutely want to do:

    • Use hand gestures
    • Smile often, when appropriate
    • Maintain good eye contact
    • Pause when they’re speaking

Conducting an interview over video also presents some unique questions that you’ll have to answer. Here are some of the top video interview questions you’ll need to know.

    Video Interview Questions

    1. Tell me a little about yourself.
    2. Why do you want this job / position?
    3. What do you know about our company?
    4. What are your biggest weaknesses / strengths?
    5. Where do you see yourself in five years?

All of these questions have various right answers, but the main point is that they have definite wrong answers as well. Take the time to write out a script on how you can answer all of these questions so you won’t be caught unaware.

    Final Words

One old adage says that you can get anything you want if you want it hard enough. That may or may not be true in this current job market, but one thing is certain: We can put yourself in the best position to get a job if you follow these steps.

If you want to stay at home and collect a paycheck, it’s possible. Here are best work-from-home jobs we’re seeing right now.

The Atlanta area, like many metropolitan areas, has a hot economy and that means employers are hiring at a rapid pace. We currently have job articles that show you high-paying jobs, those close to downtown and even side hustles you might like.

If you’re looking to get hired in Atlanta right now, there’s a very real possibility that you can land your dream job.

‘Black Interiors’ Curator Talk with Martina Dodd In Atlanta

    2 Min Read

You don’t want to miss the latest “Black Interiors” curator talk with Martina Dodd, which takes place Thursday, March 21 in Atlanta.

The exhibition, drawn entirely from Clark Atlanta University Art Museum’s permanent collection, calls attention to interior spaces as sites of liberation and creative expression. Within the enclosed walls of the home African Americans have re-envision space as freedom, fashioning their dwellings to reflect their personal values and cultural memory.

“Black Interiors” will commence at Clark Atlanta University Art Museum 223 James P Brawley Dr SW Trevor Arnett Hall, Second Atlanta, Georgia 30314.

Pulling inspiration from Elizabeth Alexander’s collection of essays, “The Black Interior,” as well as bell hooks’ “Homeplace (A Site of Resistance),” the exhibition brings together artistic renderings of the home by African American artists such as Jacob Lawrence, Loïs Mailou Jones, Henri Linton and others to explore black life behind the public sphere and beyond the constructed social self. Dodd will unpack the politics and poetics of the often racialized and gendered space within and around the home, as represented in Black Interiors, to critically examine how the black body asserts sovereignty over the space it occupies and designates as its own.
