Che Butter Jonez Brookhaven
It’s official: Che Butter Jonez has opened on LaVista Road in Brookhaven. The popular restaurant, which opened its doors on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, is currently serving customers.
Emilio’s Taco & Tequilas
Another taco joint is strong with the force in Midtown Atlanta: Emilio’s Taco + Tequila opened its doors on September 30, 2024. Check out the menu.
Tate-Z-Bites
Tate-Z-Bites opened Oct 5, 2024, bringing delicious flavors, creative dishes, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere to downtown Atlanta.
The Grand Opening celebration was held at Tate-Z-Bites, 1152 Pryor Road, SW Atlanta Ga, 30315.
Slutty Vegan Hartsfield
Atlanta’s most popular fast-casual plant-based burger joint is entering rarefied air: Slutty Vegan is opening at the airport. The location will be Concourse B, AtlantaFi.com has learned.
In 2023, Slutty Vegan owner Pinky Cole made the announcement on her Instagram account, saying: “Slutty Vegan will be a PERMANENT LOCATION in Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport! WE JUST WON THE BID!!”
Now a year later, the restaurant is set to open in Concourse B.
J’s Smokehouse
J’s Smokehouse opened August 2, 2024, and is owned by Jonnetta Patton, the mother of musical powerhouse Usher. Ms. Patton recently held a grand opening for the eatery, which is located in Doraville. Check out J’s Smokehouse.
Gene’s BBQ Opens in SE Atlanta

Another new barbecue restaurant recently opened its doors in southeast Atlanta. Gene’s BBQ began serving customers in late July. The eatery is currently open 5 to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Brunch is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.
El Gordo Opens in Uptown Development
A new Mexican restaurant just opened its doors in Buckhead. El Gordo started serving customers on July 9. The eatery is currently serving a limited menu with tacos, drinks and more.
El Gordo is open Sun-Wed | 11am-10pm. Thu-Sat | 11am- 3am. Check it out this weekend.
Propaganda Opens in Smyrna
Propaganda, new Speakeasy in Smyrna, just opened its doors and is serving customers. Stop by at 2860 Atlanta Rd SE, Smyrna, GA 30080.
Capolinea

Flying Biscuit’s New Location
The Flying Biscuit, one of the best breakfast spots in Atlanta, is far from new in the city, but it’s new location — 1530 DeKalb Ave, SE — to downright fresh. May 13 is when its doors open for all to see, eat and enjoy.
Auburn Angel
Chef Robbie Pacheco along with restaurateur Asa Fain opened Auburn Angel in the Sweet Auburn district of Atlanta on April 19. The eatery, is located at 302 Auburn Ave. NE.
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar has a presence in 15 states, but only two in the Southeast: Florida and Georgia. In the metro Atlanta area, there are two Kura locations, one in Buford and the other in Doraville. Now an Atlanta location is set to open inside the Interlock Tower in West Midtown.
Aviva by Kameel Coming To Buckhead
Aviva by Kameel is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in Atlanta and expanding to Buckhead.
The menu consists of hormone-free, butter-free food items, along with halal meat and classic salads and vegetables that have been locally sourced.

Pendolino Opening In Atlanta
The menu at Pendolino features authentic Italian dishes like pasta, pizza and salads. Of course, there are vino pairings with many of the meals.
The eatery boasts inspired decor, including an expansive dining room and sun-friendly patio for an unbeatable setting. One side of the restaurant boasts a curved oak wood bar with casual café style seating, and views of the wood burning oven. Six Feet Under Pub and Fish House
Six Feet Under Pub and Fish House, the most important seafood eatery on Atlanta’s eastside has opened a location in Buckhead.
The new Atlanta restaurant, which is housed in the former space of the ROXX Tavern, is actually a relocation. The original 6 Feet Under was on 11th Street just off Northside Drive and has now closed.
Battle and Brew
Battle & Brew, a gaming and bar concept, is set to open at The Battery Atlanta, the company says in a news release. The establishment is set to open Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, in a 11,014 square-foot space.

Rosie’s Coffee Cafe
Roosevelt Hall, 660 Student Memorial Blvd
Rosie’s Cafe opened its first location on Sylvan Road in southwest Atlanta right before the pandemic. The brand has grown into one of the most successful Black-owned restaurants in Atlanta.
A new location at Roosevelt Hall, 660 Student Memorial Blvd is set to open this year.
Little Rey
Little Rey is set to open a second restaurant, this time on the Northcreek Office Park on Northside Drive. The menu includes creative drinks and spicy dishes like wood-roasted chicken al carbon, al carbon tacos, traditional street-style tacos, salads and more.
Black Coffee ATL
Black Coffee ATL is opening this spring inside the Vivian, an upscale apartment complex bordering Adair Park and the Sylvan Hills community in southwest Atlanta. Check out Atlanta’s best black-owned coffee shops.
The N Zone
Former Atlanta native and former NFL star-turned-restaurateur Cam Newton is adding to his restaurant portfolio this year. The N Zone is set to open on Elliott Street in Castleberry Hill.
Newton has favored Castleberry Hill as a restaurant spot. His ventures FellaShip and Smokey Stallion BBQ are based there as well.
Butter + Scotch
Che Butter Jonez proprietors Chef Malik Rhasaan and wife Detric Fox-Quinlan and preparing to open Butter + Scotch, a 144-seat restaurant called in downtown Atlanta’s Origin Hotel. The exact timeframe for the opening is still being worked out.
