On Election Day, Tuesday morning, state and local officials responded to bomb threats reported at polling sites in Fulton County, Georgia.
The threats were deemed “non-credible,” according to officials, and polling locations in Georgia’s most populous county remain secure for Election Day.
Georgia Official Blames Russia for Bomb Threat Hoax
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said officials believe the bomb threats came from Russia.
“They’re up to mischief, it seems. They don’t want us to have a smooth, fair and accurate election, and if they can get us to fight among ourselves, they can count that as a victory,” Raffensperger said in a stateent. “That tells you a little bit about the Russians. They’re not our friends. Anyone that thinks they are hasn’t been reading the newspapers.”
Officials are concerned about voter intimidation in Georgia due to reports of activities that may intimidate or discourage voters from casting their ballots. In recent years, Georgia has seen a rise in reports of armed individuals and groups at or near polling locations, aggressive questioning of voters, and other tactics that could dissuade voters or make them feel unsafe. With Georgia often a key battleground in national elections, officials are particularly focused on preventing any attempts to interfere with the voting process.
Steps have been taken to increase law enforcement presence and ensure a secure, accessible voting environment. Additionally, nonpartisan groups and government agencies are educating the public about their voting rights to counter any intimidation tactics that may arise.
Voter Intimidation in Georgia: A History
Georgia, like much of the South, has a complex history of voter intimidation and suppression that dates back to the Reconstruction era following the Civil War.
Efforts to intimidate Black voters began as soon as African Americans gained the right to vote, with tactics ranging from threats of violence by groups like the Ku Klux Klan to discriminatory practices such as literacy tests, poll taxes, and grandfather clauses that effectively barred Black citizens from voting.
During the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 1960s, Georgia saw protests and activism aimed at ending these practices.
The Voting Rights Act of 1965 was a significant victory, outlawing many discriminatory practices and requiring certain states, including Georgia, to receive federal approval before changing voting laws. However, voter suppression efforts continued in more subtle forms, such as gerrymandering, restrictive voter ID laws, and purging voter rolls.
In more recent years, Georgia has faced scrutiny over issues like long wait times at polling places in minority communities, stricter voter ID requirements, and alleged voter roll purges.
In the 2020 election cycle, reports of potential voter intimidation increased, with armed groups and individuals appearing at or near polling sites. This history, combined with ongoing reports of these issues, has led officials to stay vigilant against voter intimidation to ensure a safe and accessible voting environment.

One Word of Caution About Free Movie Sites
Yes, watching free movies online can expose you to malware, especially if you use untrustworthy websites. Here’s how malware risks arise and how to stay safe:
- Pop-Up Ads and Fake Play Buttons: Some sketchy streaming sites have ads that appear as “Play” or “Download” buttons. Clicking on these often leads to malicious downloads, fake updates, or redirects to unsafe sites.
- Drive-by Downloads: Some websites can trigger malware downloads automatically just by visiting the page. Outdated browser plugins or software make this even riskier.
- Fake Browser Extensions or Flash Updates: Untrustworthy sites may prompt you to install extensions or update software like Flash. These “updates” can be malware in disguise, giving attackers access to your data.
- Hidden Malware in Video Players: Some sites require downloading a specific “video player” or codec. These are often malware-laden and should be avoided.
How to Stay Safe
- Stick to Trusted Platforms: Use legitimate services like Tubi, Crackle, or Peacock. They’re ad-supported but don’t put you at risk of malware.
- Avoid Unauthorized Streaming Sites: They often generate revenue through intrusive ads or malware, so it’s best to avoid them.
- Install Security Software: Keep antivirus software updated to help block threats if you accidentally visit a risky site.
- Avoid Downloading Software: Legitimate streaming sites don’t ask you to download players or extensions.
In summary, malware is a significant risk on unauthorized streaming sites, so sticking to reputable platforms is the safest choice.
Final Words
Finding movies to watch for free online is easier than ever before. If you’re a parent, you may want to pay special attention to the rating of some of the movies, since many of these websites don’t have a kids section.

The Atlanta Falcons improved to 6-3 over the year with a thrilling 27-21 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Nov. 3 in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Here are five good things that happened in the Atlanta Falcons’ victory over the Dallas Cowboys on November 3, 2024:
1. Strong Quarterback Performance
Kirk Cousins threw three touchdown passes, showcasing his capability in leading the offense and making crucial plays at pivotal moments during the game.
Atlanta quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 19 of 24 passes for 222 yards as the Falcons used a ball control attack that kept the Cowboys offense off the field. At one point, Cousins completed 13 straight passes in throwing a 9-yard touchdown to Drake London, a 36-yarder to Darnell Mooney and an 11 yarder to Ray-Ray McCloud.
2. Defensive Dominance
The Falcons’ defense played a crucial role in limiting the Cowboys’ scoring opportunities, preventing them from gaining momentum and forcing key turnovers.
The Falcons held Dak Prescott to 133 yards and sacked him three times. Their star receiver, CeeDee Lamb, was largely held in check for the entire game.
3. Balanced Offensive Attack
The Falcons demonstrated a well-rounded offensive strategy, effectively utilizing both the passing and rushing game, which kept the Cowboys’ defense guessing and unable to adjust effectively.
Bijan Robinson ran for 86 yards on 19 carries and Tyler Allgeier finished with 18 yards as the Falcons kept the Dallas line offguard with a strong running attack.
4. Maintaining First Place
With this victory, the Falcons improved their record to 6-3, strengthening their position at the top of the NFC South, which is a significant achievement in their pursuit of playoff contention.
“There’s a lot to look forward to in terms of the city and how we can all come together,” Cousins told reporters after the game. “You do one week at a time to get there and kind of see where you stand in February.”
5. Injuries Impacting Cowboys
The game was affected by an injury to Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, which not only disrupted their offensive plans but also contributed to the Falcons securing a decisive win amidst crucial moments in the game.
“It’s something I’ve never felt,” Prescott told reporters after the game, referring to his team’s three-game skid. “I saw the medical team and asked could I make it worse. At that point they said I wouldn’t be able to protect myself and made the call to hold me out.”
At one point in the game, Prescott was seen saying “We … Suck!”Final Word
Atlanta may get its dream season with its $180 million quraterback after all. They just need to keep winning.
This victory against a strong opponent like the Cowboys can energize the Falcons’ season moving forward.

One of the largest municipal projects in Buckhead has gotten the green light and may begin construction sooner rather than later. Spearheaded by the Buckhead Community Improvement District (CID), the Lenox Boardwalk project would transform the area for pedestrians and motorists alike.
The boardwalk is part of a three-part project that includes major changes to the thoroughfares around Lenox Square mall encompassing Peachtree and Lenox roads.
This article will tell you all you need to know about the Lenox Boardwalk project.
What Is the Lenox Boardwalk?
The Lenox Boardwalk an urban linear park that aesthetically connects surrounding businesses and landmarks around the Lenox MARTA Station.
The next section of the project provides a showcase of the upscale shopping district around Phipps Boulevard and Peachtree Road. You can expect major facelifts around the area’s sidewalks, ramps and staircases.
The final piece of the puzzle is an elevated pedestrian and bicycle bridge connecting Lenox, Peachtree roads along with Phipps Boulevard.
The bridge will also be an entry and exit way onto HUB404, a half-mile greenspace planned for 400 in Buckhead that will sit above the highway.
The Lenox Boardwalk project in Atlanta is an urban development initiative aimed at transforming the area surrounding Lenox Square, one of the city’s premier shopping destinations. The project focuses on creating a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly environment that integrates retail, dining, and recreational spaces. Key features of the Lenox Boardwalk project include:
1. Enhanced Walkability
The design prioritizes pedestrian access, making it easier for visitors to navigate the area and enjoy outdoor spaces.
2. Public Spaces
The project plans to include parks, green spaces, and gathering areas to foster community interaction and promote leisure activities.
3. Commercial Development
There is an emphasis on attracting new businesses, restaurants, and entertainment venues to the area, enhancing the overall appeal of Lenox Square.
4. Transportation Improvements
The project aims to improve transportation links, potentially incorporating options for public transit, bike lanes, and enhanced vehicle access. The Lenox Boardwalk project reflects broader trends in urban development, focusing on sustainability, community engagement, and creating a lively urban environment. As the project progresses, it is expected to significantly impact the surrounding community and contribute to Atlanta’s urban landscape.
When Will the Lenox Boardwalk Be Built?
Construction on the Lenox Boardwalk as well as surrounding projects will begin at different stages in 2025.
The Buckhead CID was recently awarded $10 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant program to help fund the boardwalk and HUB404 projects.
This plans are part of the Lenox Road Complete Safe Street project, which when completed will create a 1.25-mile pedestrian-friendly corridor between the Lenox MARTA station and Piedmont Road.

Atlanta rapper Young Thug was released from jail Thursday evening after pleading guilty to gang, drug, and gun charges, marking the end to the longest criminal trial in Georgia’s history.
Video footage showed a dark sedan pulling off from the Fulton County jail with Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Atkins, purportedly inside. It was unknown where the vehicle was headed, but it is assumed that he will leave town.
As terms of his plea deal, Young Thug must also:
- Stay away from metro Atlanta for 10 years.
- Refrain from using any illicit drugs.
- Avoid association with any gang paraphernalia.
- Speak against drugs/gang violence four times a year.
Young Thug’s father spoke to news cameras last Thursday and was emotional. “I feel great that he’s going home, but by the same token, I wanted him to fight,” he said, referring to his son taking a plea deal. “As an adult, he has to make his own decision.”
The elder Williams also had some pointed words for District Attorney Fani Willis, saying that he didn’t agree with the district attorney’s stipulation that his son be banned from metro Atlanta.
“To take a man from where he’s from and have to go live somewhere else, I’m really against that. That offends me,” he said.
The rapper’s longtime girlfriend, performing artist Mariah the Scientist, was on stage Thursday evening anxious about the imminent release of her lover.
Young Thug’s Girlfriend Speaks Out After Release
“There was people telling me I would never see him again. There was people who was laughing at me and laughing at the situation making fun of us,’ she said. “Let’s just make it to the end so I can get on this jet.”
Later in a statement to the media, she released the following statement:
“Thank you God, thank you God. This is more than what we prayed for. We are so grateful, this is the greatest opportunity we’ve ever been presented with and we are so grateful. Thank you Judge Paige Whitaker for giving us the opportunity to move forward with our life! Thank you God. Thank you Brian Steel and Keith Adams and every attorney working on this case, tireless. THANK YOU! I cannot say it enough, I cannot repay you for this. You have changed our lives, Jeffery’s life and mine. Thank you to everyone who has been there for us, every fan, who believed in us and prayed for us.”
Williams, 33, was arrested on May 9, 2022, during a raid in connection with a RICO case involving gang activity in Atlanta. The trial, from the get-go, was one of fanfare.
He faced multiple charges, including conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.
Young Thug and his co-defendants, including rapper Gunna, were charged with multiple counts, primarily under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. The charges included conspiracy to participate in criminal gang activity, as well as various counts related to violent crimes, drug offenses, and other illegal activities. The prosecution alleged that they were part of the Young Slime Life (YSL) gang, which was involved in various criminal enterprises in Atlanta.

Black Men Buy Houses Co-Founders Kevan and Ayesha Shelton hosted their inaugural Black Men Buy Houses event in Atlanta on October 12th at The Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs.
The event, which was presented by Citizens Trust Bank, featured special guests John Hope Bryant, a renowned entrepreneur, economic empowerment advocate, Author, Founder & Chairman of Operation HOPE and H. Jerome Russell Jr., President of H.J. Russell & Company.
The Sheltons launched the “Black Men Buy Houses” initiative to address the barriers and historical inequalities Black men face in homeownership. The event provided attendees with essential financial literacy tools to begin their home-buying journey, focusing on overcoming limited access to knowledge and financial resources.
“Black men often face challenges when purchasing homes, stemming from limited information about the process and financial resources, which can hinder their ability to secure funds for down payments, credit, and closing costs. Our initiative’s objective is to break down these barriers, enabling more Black men to achieve the dream of homeownership,” said the Sheltons.
This initiative was created because, historically, there has been a lack of focus on Black Men. Homebuyer data indicates that Black men lag behind Black women in homeownership, education, entrepreneurship, and earnings. Black women are achieving higher levels of education which directly translates to workforce participation, hence the need for initiatives such as Black Men Buy Houses to address the disparities that exist for Black men.
What started in Houston as the Shelton’s’ goal to help 500 Black men purchase homes has expanded into a nationwide initiative focused on empowering Black Men to become homeowners, providing financial literacy through real estate, allowing Black Men to have a piece of the American Dream. The Atlanta event offered one-on-one sessions with credit specialists and mortgage representatives and panel discussions designed to prepare participants with the tools needed to start the homeownership journey.
Black Men Buy Houses currently holds a National MOU with Operation HOPE which allows attendees to gain credit counseling beyond the event, directly tying into John Hope Bryant’s mission of advocating for financial literacy and empowerment within the Black community. During the event, John Hope Bryant shared his experience on overcoming financial barriers and the importance of economic equity.
The event’s presenter, Citizens Trust Bank, shared, “Partnering with the Black Men Buy Houses initiative has been a proud moment for our bank. This event gave us the opportunity to engage directly with Black men in our community, offering tools and guidance to help them navigate the path to homeownership”, said Farrand O. Logan, Executive Vice President, Chief Lending Officer, Citizens Trust Bank. “We believe that financial empowerment begins with access to knowledge and resources, and this partnership is about more than just buying houses—it’s about creating lasting wealth and stability for future generations”, concluded, Logan.
The Shelton’s plan to host additional events in major cities, under their National MOU with NAREB on their “Building Black Wealth.” continuing their mission to support Black men in achieving homeownership. “This is just the beginning,” said The Sheltons. “We are determined to expand our efforts and impact even more lives.”
