Brookhaven has a new Chick-fil-A, which will give Atlanta residents yet another location to get their delicious chicken sandwiches and waffle fries.
The Brookhaven restaurant is owned by Jerry Goebeler, a University of Georgia graduate who started working at Chick-fil-A as a team member and rose through the ranks. He already owns one Chick-fil-A in Buckhead. The Brookhaven location is his second.
Now Serving In Brookhaven: Chick-fil-A
“My goal as an Operator of two Chick-fil-A restaurants is for every guest to receive quality service, and Chick-fil-A Brookhaven provides another opportunity to create a positive influence with all who come in contact with our restaurants,” Goebeler said.
When Is The Brookhaven Chick-fil-A Opening?
The Brookhaven Chick-fil-A opened April 13, 2023. The fast-food joint is currently serving customers for dine-in and carry-out from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Reviews of the new restaurant have already come in. Here’s what one of the first customers had to say:
“For the First Day it is already great! I expect nothing better Jerry! This is Jerry’s second location, he is a great operator I expect to come a lot. I think it is great he Gave the “First 100” cards to local schools and teachers! This one WILL be a success! Great food and great job!”Where Is The Brookhaven Chick-fil-A Located?
The eatery is located at 4046 Peachtree Rd NE, Brookhaven, GA 30319. Here is a map to help you find it.
Final PieceChick-Fil-A has a cult-like following among Southerners familiar with the chain. That’s why the quick-serve restaurant is the most popular when it comes to customer service.
Aside from the great service, we hear Chick-fil-A has a secret menu. Shhhhh. Don’t tell anyone.
There’s no two ways about it. Chick-fil-A is an Atlanta foodie institution, but it’s not the only one. Metro Atlanta’s food and drink scene continues to grow with no stops on the horizon. Ready to try something new?

Atlanta families who are pregnant or recently postpartum will be selected to receive doula services through a grant program sponsored by cosmetics line Carol’s Daughter and the Mama Glow Foundation, a nonprofit that advocates for reproductive justice.
The recipients in Georgia’s largest city join those in four other U.S. jurisdictions: NYC, Miami, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C.
Carol’s Daughter Launches Birthing While Black Campaign
The initiative is in honor of Black Maternal Health Week (April 11-17, 2023) and coincides with Carol’s Daughter’s Birthing While Black campaign, which showcases the real-life stories of Black people navigating the crisis.
To kick off the campaign, Black birthing people everywhere are encouraged to share their birthing stories on social to raise awareness around Black Maternal Health, by using the hashtag: #BirthingWhileBlack and tagging @carolsdaughter. Each post will spark a donation to the Mama Glow Foundation that will help fund doula support for families in need.
Advocates such as Married to Medicine’s Dr. Jackie and Audra Curry and singer Lion Babe have joined in on the cause to shed light on this important initiative by sharing anecdotes from their own experience and encouraging their followers to do the same. Additional activities under Birthing While Black will be rolling out throughout the year.
“While the recent statistics [on maternal mortality] are alarming and sobering, they only serve to further fuel our drive and commitment to this cause,” said Carol’s Daughter founder Lisa Price. “The work of birthing people should only be the work of giving birth and that experience being as beautiful as it can be. Our work is to advocate for them to have what they deserve.”
The health disparities are related to several factors, including access to quality healthcare, underlying chronic diseases, systemic racism, and implicit bias. This is why Love Delivered remains committed to expanding its efforts to empower, support and equip Black birthing people and the greater community to advocate for their health and wellness, and give allies the resources to be well-informed in supporting positive birthing experiences.
Since its inception, Love Delivered has engaged with over 190,000 people through events, doula grants, education, and webinars. Additional events and #BirthingWhileBlack activities will take place throughout the year to ensure that Black birthing people and their community have the resources they need to thrive.
Love Delivered programming includes:
- Access to online resources and maternity experts for expectant and new families
- Community building events and forums for expectant and new families and their allies for sharing joyful, inspiring, birthing experiences
- Love Delivered self-care deliveries, including a partnership with the NewYork-Presbyterian Dalio Center for Health Justice that began in 2022. After an initial donation of Carol’s Daughter hair products in Obstetrics and Pediatrics at the NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist campus, the health system is planning to distribute an additional 25,000-45,000 kits across the enterprise beginning this Fall.

Atlanta’s largest newspaper recently made history by naming its first black editor-in-chief!
Leroy Chapman Jr. has begun his tenure at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, succeeding longtime Editor Kevin Riley, who announced his retirement Thursday.
AJC Names First Black Editor-In-Chief
As the organization’s top news executive and first Black editor in chief in the newspaper’s 155-year history, Chapman will oversee the newsgathering, programming, features, and opinion teams as well as the editorial teams responsible for video, audio, newsletters and events. Chapman will report to AJC President and Publisher Andrew Morse.
Riley, one of the longest-tenured editors of a major daily publication, will retire later this year. He will assume the role of editor at large during a transition period.
THE MOMENT:
On March 23, 2023, for the first time in 155 years, the @ajc hired a Black man – @AJCLeroyChapman – to become Editor-in-Chief. Blessed to have witnessed this moment in history. I've never been prouder to be associated with this fine organization.
Good Luck Leroy pic.twitter.com/ia7xPv3EJi— Ernie Suggs (@erniesuggs) March 24, 2023
“Leroy Chapman is an outstanding journalist, an inspirational leader, and an innovative thinker,” Morse said. “We are lucky to have him leading our newsroom as we transform the AJC into a modern media company at the center of life in Atlanta. We also want to recognize Kevin’s long, decorated history as editor of the AJC. He has made invaluable contributions to this institution and this city. We’ll miss his sound judgment and good humor and wish him the best in a well-deserved retirement.”
Who Is LeRoy Chapman Jr.?
Chapman is currently managing editor at the AJC, overseeing daily news gathering, breaking news, coverage of key news topics including state, local and federal government, politics, education, public safety, transportation, Georgia’s economy and the environment. Sports was added to Chapman’s responsibilities earlier this year. He joined the AJC in 2011 from The State in Columbia, S.C.
Since joining the AJC, Chapman has shepherded some of the publication’s most high-profile stories, including the efforts to undermine Georgia’s 2020 election results, the court cases of teachers and administrators charged in the Atlanta Public Schools cheating scandal, and the investigation into Atlanta’s affordable housing crisis during a time of economic uncertainty. Chapman is a U.S. Navy veteran and has been a journalist for 28 years. He lives in Gwinnett County with his wife Dawn and is a father to three adult children. The Chapmans’ oldest child is a relative the couple adopted when he was 13.
“The significance of this moment isn’t lost on me. This kind of opportunity is why African Americans come to Atlanta,” Chapman said. “Kevin has been excellent at being visible in our communities and hearing from people. I am looking forward to getting out into the community and understanding more about how the AJC can continue to serve audiences and improve our city.”
Riley started his career in 1983 at the Dayton Daily News, which is also owned by Cox Enterprises, and was editor in Dayton for four years before coming to Atlanta in 2011. In his 12-year tenure, he emphasized public service, investigative journalism, and political coverage, as Georgia claimed a leading role in national politics. He oversaw the largest reporting staff covering Georgia’s governor and legislature.
“I have never felt more inspired about the future of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution,” Riley said. “It’s been an honor to lead these incredible journalists and to serve the citizens of this state and city for the past 12 years. I will miss being a part of this storied organization, but I know its finest days are ahead.”
