On Saturday, September 22, 2018, come on out just south of Atlanta to Hapeville’s Localmotion Festival of the Arts, where attendees can indulge in good music, food and craft beer.
The event takes place in historic downtown Hapeville from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and will feature numerous local bands on the stage as well as artists from the Atlanta area and the larger Southeast.

Producers working in Atlanta are in need of movie stand-ins for the next “Avengers: Infinity War movie, which has begun filming around the city.
The actors will be needed on site for Monday, September 17 or Tuesday, September 18 in Atlanta. Here is what they’re looking for:
- We are looking for a body double for Project Mary Lou shooting near Fayetteville on either Mon 9/17 or Tues 9/18. You need to be avail both days. Female, Caucasian, 5’3, fit, waist 25/26, hip 35, 115-120 pounds.

If you got game and look like you can hoop, you may be able to earn some money acting in a promotional spot for the Atlanta Hawks. Casting directors are looking for talent to work on September 17 and 18 in Atlanta.
They are looking for guys ages 20-30 who have college level basketball experience and can be good in front of a camera.

Buckhead is getting a new restaurant near one of the area’s most famous parks. Healthy casual Brack’s Kitchen is going to open in December near Chastain Park, according to news reports.
The restaurant will comprise nearly 2,6000 square feet in Buckhead Court shopping center at 3850 Roswell Road, home to Superica, a coffee shop and other eateries.
The restaurant’s opening, first reported by Tomorrow’s News Today,
marks a more modern, hipper brand of establishments for Buckhead Court, which has traditionally relied on the stoic chains of middle America to draw shoppers.
Signature dishes at Brack’s Kitchen will include Chicken & Dumplings, featuring marinated grilled chicken, balsamic roasted Brussels sprouts, black-eyed pea falafel, chili charred cauliflower as well as salads with the likes of marinated grilled shrimp, local lettuce mix, red onion, cucumber, citrus marinated avocado, marinated tomatoes, and cilantro lemon vinaigrette, according to Tonetoatl.com.

The Google Science Fair will begin accepting submissions on Thursday, September 13 at King Plow Arts Center located at 887 West Marietta Street Atlanta, GA 30318.
The fair is an online global competition designed to inspire teens around the world to solve real-world problems through STEM education.
Representatives from Google will join State Rep. Ed Setzler and Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Meria Carstarphen as hosts to a science fair event for 100 APS students. The kids will be able to take part in interactive activities and innovative project ideas for this year’s competition.
Submissions for this year’s Google Science Fair will be accepted online through December 12, 2018.
A panel of judges from leading tech and STEM-related organizations will review submissions from across the globe and announce regional winners in early Spring 2019 and 20 global finalists in July. Students will be competing for a $50,000 grand prize scholarship, but runners-up and regional winners can also win academic scholarships and travel-based prizes from this year’s sponsoring organizations.

Miso Ko, the sushi kiosk from chef Guy Wong, is set to open its doors on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Ponce City Market’s Central Food Hall.Miso Ko is adjacent to its sister establishment Ton Ton on the first floor of PCM’s Central Food Hall. The new eatery promises specials along with menu staples such as fresh-water eel, octopus, squid, tuna, salmon, shrimp, sweet tofu, soft-shell crab, and more.The establishment will also serve specialty rolls, salads, large and small sushi combos, and add-ons like masago and quail egg. On Tuesday, September 6, 2018, ATL Live on the Park went down with Shanti Das and Marlon Nichols and more at Park Tavern in Midtown Atlanta’s Piedmont Park. singer and songwriter Liv Warfield, who performed extensively with Prince, rocked the crowd.
The event was hosted by Lifestyle Specialist Kenny Burns and featured crazy tunes from DJ Bad, Quinn and Jukebox kicked-off the show with a unique blend of non-stop R&B, hip-hop and rock mixes.
Also gracing the stage were R&B newcomer and Grammy nominated composer J’Rell aka Rell’igion. Anthony David also performed as did independent artist Mylah, and veteran singer Algebra Blessett.

Singer and entertainer Bobby Brown is doing press in support of his biopic “The Bobby Brown Story” on BET Networks. Brown recently spoke to V103 personalities Frank Ski and Wanda Smith about his life and times.
“I’m just glad that BET allowed me the opportunity to tell my story while I’m still alive,” he told them. Brown said that on the heels of BET’s New Edition miniseries, he was appreciative of being able to share what really went down in the hey day of his career.
Brown said that he’s had two heart attacks and one stroke. “I live every day because my kids just allow me to be me. It’s important that this story is out because I’m not going nowhere.”
Brown shared a number of new developments related to music. He said that he is going back into the studio with Teddy Riley and Babyface. He also said that he has reunited with key members of New Edition. The new group is called RBRM (Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky & Mike) and they are going on tour in the near future.

Lenox Square burger joint Zinburger is days away from opening its second metro Atlanta location in Dunwoody, AtlantaFi has learned. The popular restaurant is known for gourmet burgers, shakes and wines has become a Buckhead favorite in the few years it’s been up and running.
