U-Haul is investing in metro Atlanta like never before with a new state-of-the-art self-storage facility, the company announced this week.
The new site is destined for 471 Eagles Landing Parkway in Stockbridge. The structure is possible because of U-Haul’s recent acquisition of a 324,000-square-foot warehouse.
U-Haul Mobility & Storage at Eagles Landing is currently operating out of a temporary showroom, but will transition to offer 1,800 indoor self-storage units for rent – a mix of climate-control and non-climate-control rooms with high-tech security features at affordable price points, once the property is repurposed.
“In the coming weeks, U-Haul will allocate warehouse space to store more than 300 U-Box portable moving and storage containers and lot space to accommodate 40 large U-Haul truck boxes – a sustainable solution for outdated fleet vehicles,” the company says in a press release. “These options will provide immediate and secure on-site storage for customers while self-storage rooms are being made.”

Looking to capitalize on its success in Midtown, the Batter Cookie Dough Counter , which opened in 2017 at Ponce City Market, is set to open a pop-up shop at Avalon, the entertainment-retail development in Alpharetta.
The cookie dough shop will open every Saturday and Sunday starting April 8 through October, according to The AJC. The business will be located in Avalon’s plaza, the central greenspace of the development.
Avalon, which opened last year, is a mixed-use shopping and entertainment development in north Fulton County. Phase I of the project includes 500,000 square feet (46,000 m2) of retail space, a 12-screen Regal Cinemas theater, and more than 100 residences and 250 luxury rental homes.

Some culinary concoctions are better left on Instagram, clearly made of desperation and attention. But some of them, including this new one, just might become a thing.
Red Lobster recently debuted a new menu item guaranteed to whet your appetite: Lobster & waffles.
The seafood chain, which has become nationally known as the spot where your kids get to gawk at huge lobsters in a tank, is experimenting with the famous chicken-and-waffles trope and going all in. The new meal features waffles made out of Red Lobster’s cheddar bay biscuits, which are technically a sin in food form.
“Our signature Cheddar Bay waffle is topped with a crispy buttermilk battered split Maine lobster tail then drizzled with sweet maple syrup,” the restaurant says in a press release. And can you believe it? They say this is only 1080 calories!!?

The menu will showcase a number of premiere eats, including the Applewood-smoked bacon, smoked pork loin with whole-grain molasses barbecue sauce, house-fried chicken and mashed sweet potatoes.
For those looking for smaller fare, there will be the salads, pastries, dessert, carving stations and children’s options including chicken fingers, potato wedges and mac and cheese.
The price will be $38 for adults, $15 for children 6-12. The bar will be serving from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.;but both restaurant and bar are closed for dinner.
