If you’re an Atlanta fan, you know that rapper T.I. is one of the home team’s biggest supporters. Yet this past weekend, the “Family Hustle” artist made this thoughts plan about supporting the Falcons and by extension the National Football League.
During a discussion at an event associated with the BET Awards, T.I. told sports journalist Jemele Hill that he won’t be riding with the Falcons this year – at least his dollars won’t.
On Monday, he tweeted: “Blacks in America spend $1.2 Trillion a yr,with the least participation or consideration to our needs. If WE make a conscious decision not to spend with a corporation. They MUST attend to our concerns. THATS OUR SUPER POWER!!!- Ye voice.”
Much has been made about how the NFL has been blackballing one of its most recognizable players for taking a knee on the sidelines during the national anthem. That controversy has spilled off the field as advertisers have threatened to leave the NFL and team owners have introduced penalties.
With the NFL season less than 90 days away, we want to hear from you. What do you think?

Atlanta’s SweetWater brewery recently debuted a new IPA series inspired by marijuana. The 420 Strain: G13 IPA combines the hops and weed aroma to make a whole a new draft.
Let’s put this out there: Yes, the beer smells like marijuana, so if you don’t enjoy that distinct dank smell, this is not the brew for you.
From Sweetwater:
This aromatic super-hybrid sticky IPA is first and foremost a phenomenally delicious and drinkable beer, with the added bonus of an olfactory experience that mimics that of the legendary G13 cannabis strain. The IPA base brew has a great body, good head and nice amount of haze at a pleasurable 6% ABV. To work with the malt bill, the brewers added some of their dankest hops, Columbus and Simcoe, plus two dry hop additions. To achieve the aroma, our brewers found the perfect botanically-sourced, strain specific terpenes and married them with propriety natural hemp flavor, both perfectly complementing the hops in the IPA.
The new brew is available at the following metro Atlanta locations:
Atlanta
6/22 – Brick Store Pub, 6pm
6/22 – Ormsby’s, 6pm
