Yalda, a new Mediterranean eatery, recently opened in Sandy Springs, AtlantaFi.com has learned. The restaurant is one of two Yaldas opening in 2023 in metro Atlanta. The other one, in the city proper, is set to open its doors later this year.

The Sandy Springs Yalda is located at The Alistair in Aria Village close to Roswell Road and Abernathy. More on that later.

Yalda comes to us from Chef and restaurateur Ashkan Famili, who has long wanted to introduce Persian-style tapas among other things to metro Atlanta foodies.

What’s On The Menu At Yalda?

Yalda’s menu includes dishes such as quail mezza with anar sauce, salads, spreads, wraps vegetables and kabobs.
Entrees include sea bream stuffed with Turkish-style spinach. Dessert favorites include baklava and faloodeh

Yalda will also have a robust beverage program, including wines from Greece and other parts of Europe.

Here’s what one reviewer says about Yalda.

“Oh my gosh, their food is so good! This place just opened up and is definitely worth visiting. The rice – incredible. The meat and fish – perfectly grilled. Definitely a great reason to come to Sandy Springs!’
