R&B singer Jacquees recently opened a new restaurant in South DeKalb County, Georgia just outside Atlanta. The Wine and Tapas Lounge held its grand opening ceremony on January 4, 2023, in the Stonecrest Mall area.
The artist, real name Rodriquez Jacquees Broadnax, put on his entrepreneurial hat by teaming up with his business partner, Voneka Marks, for the restaurant venture, which marks yet another black-owned restaurant in Atlanta as the local economy continues to grow.
Jacquees Opens The Wine And Tapas Bar In Stonecrest
The new establishment, which boasts a 160-foot interior with the capacity to seat about 100 people, features hookah and brunch as well as an R&B karaoke night each Thursday.
The Wine and Tapas Bar’s current hours are Wednesday through Sunday but may expand at a later date.
What’s On The Menu At The Wine And Tapas Bar?
We viewed the Tapas and Brunch menus at The Wine and Tapas bar and here were some standout dishes:
- Curry Shrimp and Grits
- Salmon Bites (Curry, Jerk, Cajun flavors)
- Salmon Omelette
- Shrimp and Grits W/ Cajun Cheese Sauce
- Wings
- Breakfast Sliders
The new lounge is a good look for Jaquees, who joins a growing list of Atlanta celebrities who own restaurants.
“It feels good,” Jacquees said, according to Black Enterprise. “I always was a young boy dreaming, and I’m still dreaming. I used to shop over here, and I still do, but I used to really go hard over here.”

Wine and tapas is a good combination when you think about the many dishes and bottles of vino that could be combined.
