One reviewer says: “The staff in this store was fantastic. After TWO terrible issues with the other locations on Virginia, it was refreshing to go into a Waffle House where the staff actually cared.
The two ladies serving and the guy cooking were very polite and professional.
This is the ONLY location on Virginia Ave. that I will ever go to again.”

One Google reviewer says: “This location was recently torn down and rebuilt so everything is shiny new, including the attitudes. Expanded parking, great service, clean and new with all the standard WH favs… what’s not to love?”
Atlanta Waffle House: 860 Glenwood Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30316
One reviewer says: “Very friendly staff and great cooks. Its a newly built waffle house, so it’s seem to cleaner than most. As most Waffle House locations, it can get pretty rachet after 1:30am …when clubs and bars close, they’re extremely busy.”
Atlanta Waffle House review: 4346 Fulton Industrial Blvd SW, Atlanta, GA 30336
One reviewer says: “The place was very clean but the waitress messed up or orders and wanted to argue with us about it. The cook came over to apologize for the confusion . He made the experience worth the trip. All in all not the worst but with out that cook I would not venture out to it again. Knowing he works there I might give it another shot some other day. Politeness and accountability go a long way in my book.”
Atlanta Waffle House: 66 5th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308

From the variety of DELICIOUS flavors to server’s attentiveness and lovable personalities , there’s no reason not to visit this place for your next event!”

On TripAdvisor reviewer said this: “I’ve heard of and seen numerous Waffle House’s while travelling. It seems to be primarily a Southeastern US chain; there are none in California. I suppose it is similar to the Denny’s or IHOP brands in California, although this Waffle House I visited was smaller and skankier than any Denny’s or IHOP’s I’ve been to. Still, if famed Southern chef Sean Brock takes Anthony Bourdain to Waffle House on the latter’s eponymous TV show, I figure it’s worth a try.
“There were 2 Waffle Houses within walking distance to my downtown hotel. This was the closer one. It’s gritty. There are a few tables and booths, plus 2 small counters (one high, one low) facing the open kitchen. All surfaces are hard and hopefully disinfectable. While I was there, the cement-floored kitchen was literally being hosed down with a garden hose (there is a floor drain). The restrooms, which I did not use, seem to be frequented by folks who aren’t eating here and perhaps don’t have a place to call home. If Atlanta had health inspection letter grades posted on restaurant windows (as is customary and required in Los Angeles), this Waffle House grade surely would NOT be an “A”. I opted to order my food to go.”

One TripAdvisor reviewer says: “I used to travel to Georgia a lot to visit a friend and that is where I was introduced to Waffle House, that staple of the south. My friend indoctrinated me to Waffle House early on. As a New Yorker, its like walking on to an alien space ship…. Hard to imagine eating there. But eat I have. Many times. Other than the harsh lighting, cockroaches on the counter, greasy incredibly-unhealthy food, and the local “atmosphere”…. it’s a cheap meal. That’s the best I can say and I will leave it at that. — So cheap that when we once left a $5 tip, the waitress ran out to the parking lot to thank us as we were leaving. I guess she never got a $5 tip before?
I’ve brought other New Yorkers in to Waffle Houses in other places and they refused to eat in there. Clearly, expansion in to New York will not be happening any time soon.”

The food was good and reasonably priced. The pecan waffles were amazing!!!! The service was just ok, we had to ask for drinks and refills several times.
It’s only about a block from the Georgia Aquarium / World of Coca-Cola.
Note: Do NOT try to order pancakes at a Waffle House. They do NOT appreciate it. 🙂 I would go there again.”

One TripAdvisor reviewer said: “This was my first time eating at Waffle House and i am a fan now. The hype is true and my only complaint is that i took so long to dine there. The staff was great, service was great. Only issue i had was that the dinning area was not as clean as it should be.

Final Word
There are few places as well known and prominent in Atlanta than Waffle House. As Waffle House reviews go, you won’t find any extravagant praises or over-the-top commendations, after all, it’s Waffle House.
But what you will find is food made with heart. And that’s what many people desperately desire today. The yellow-trimmed eatery worked its way to popularity by first serving customers in a greasy house-setup in Avondale Estates in Decatur’s shadow.
Now it is one of the greatest American breakfast institutions ever created. And as much as we think we know and appreciate the place, there are tons of insights we can learn about the House from other people.
