In addition to casting for new talent, filmmaker Tyler Perry has begun filming the first movie of his deal with Amazon Studios.
The billionaire filmmaker has been working with Netflix for his most recent films, but will now create for Amazon Studios in a multi-picture deal.
In addition to directing Black, White & Blue, Perry is also writing and producing it. Angi Bones, Will Areu and Jamall Ellz have also signed on as producers of the film.
What Is Black, White & Blue About?
Black, White & Blue follows a woman named Fela Blackburn who sets out to get justice after her husband Rodney Blackburn is killed by a police officer. To assist her, she turns to her attorney friend Marley Wells, and her husband, Tony Wells, who is a private investigator.
During her search for the truth, she uncovers a world of lies and deception.

When Is Black, White & Blue Going To Be Released?
The time that Black, White & Blue will be released will be known soon. As of now it’s TBD. Perry’s second film in the four-movie deal with Amazon is Divorced In the Black, which is about a failed marriage.

In a deal announced in November 2022, Perry is making four films with Amazon Studios. All of the movies will stream on Amazon Prime.
