The Atlanta taco wars are heating up as another contender enters the fray: Torchy’s Tacos, which started as an Austin, Texas food truck, is opening in West Midtown in Atlanta.
The new Atlanta restaurant is having a grand opening on August 23, 2024, beginning at 10 a.m. To celebrate, the first 100 guests in line will receive a limited-edition key chain, which entitles them to a year of free green chile queso with any dine-in or takeout order (one redemption per day).
What’s On The Menu at Torchy’s Tacos?
Tacos Torchy’smenu is known for pushing the boundaries with taco fillings and flavors, often incorporating unique ingredients and creative twists. The menu is the most expansive of any taco restaurant, including its famous green chile queso.
For example, there’s the Mofaux taco, which has cowboy-style Beyond Beef topped with green chiles, grilled corn, peppadew peppers, avocado, cilantro and the spicy heat of Diablo sauce.
Also, the Trailer Park taco featuring fried chicken, green chiles, lettuce, pico de gallo, cheddar jack cheese, and poblano sauce on a flour tortilla.
The opening of the West Midtown location will mark Torchy’s Tacos’ 126th location nationwide. Originally founded in Austin the fast-casual chain is known for its eclectic tacos, sides, margaritas, and signature cocktails.
