The big game will be played Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Stadium, hands down the best sports venue in North America. No matter if you’re staying downtown, Midtown or outside the perimeter, there is plenty to get into as far as events, dining options and other things.
Downtown Atlanta’s campus is walkable (less than 1 mile from the Georgia World Congress Center to the Marriott Marquis on the opposite side of downtown and 400 yards from CNN MARTA Station to Super Bowl LIVE in Centennial Olympic Park).

Super Bowl LIVE
“Super Bowl LIVE is a free concert series for Super Bowl LIII that embraces Atlanta’s historical music scene. Music mogul Jermaine Dupri is the event’s maestro, bringing numerous local artists to the big stage. The event is sponsored by Verizon, Ford, Frito-Lay and Hyundai. Here is the schedule:

Ride MARTA
MARTA is not only a means of transportation, but it is a destination itself. Numerous stations around the city feature installation art and cool features you won’t find anywhere else. For Super Bowl weekend, MART will make the following changes in its schedule:
• Extended rail and bus service hours during the 10-day period surrounding Super Bowl LIII:
– Tuesday, January 29 – Friday, February 1: Rail service will start at 4 a.m. one hour earlier, Bus service on regular schedule
– Friday, February 1, at 4 a.m. – Tuesday, February 5, at 2 a.m: Rail service will run continuously, 24 hours a day, Bus service on routes 15, 39, 83 and 96 will run continuously, 24 hours a day.
Take the Atlanta streetcar
The Streetcar will operate on its regular schedule with an additional vehicle on Super Bowl Sunday. Plan your trip or call 404-848-5000 for help and the latest schedule updates.
Atlanta is the state capital of Georgia, so it has tons of monuments and landmarks illustrating its rich history, including its Civil War past, the civil rights movement and more. You’ll get an education as well as fun time at the World of Coke, the Atlanta History Center, the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site and massive Georgia Aquarium as these buildings represent what’s best about the city and region.
Trap Museum

If you want to enjoy one of the city’s musical gems, Apache Cafe is the place to go. Atlanta Pop Overthrow – Feb. 1-3

CNN Studio Tours
Come to downtown Atlanta and see behind the headlines at the world’s news leader. CNN Studio Tours showcases the men, women and departments behind the House that Ted Turner Built. It’s one of the top fun things to do in Atlanta, because you may run into one of the network’s news anchors, like Fredricka Whitfield, and get a selfie! College Football Hall of Fame
Downtown Atlanta houses the storied halls of the College Football Hall of Fame, which features historical exhibits on famous college football players and coaches.
