5G is super-fast internet service that will increase webpage-loading times as well as the speed and resolution of video content. It will reportedly be 10 times faster than 4G.

Atlanta is getting 5G as one of nine cities, along with  Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, New York City, Phoenix and Washington, D.C.

“We are incredibly excited to expand our existing relationship with Google to include 5G,” said Jan Geldmacher, president of Sprint Business. “This announcement also showcases our dedication to collaborating with Google as we prepare to launch one of the world’s first mobile 5G networks covering multiple major cities.”
