Saito Sushi, Steak and Cocktails opening in Atlanta
The restaurant is being opened by acclaimed restaurateur Stephen de Haan, who is partnering with the Saito brand, which is well known in Asia.
The Saito namesake comes from Japan, where Master Chef Saito built a sushi empire after starting out in Fukushima. Today, Saito has more than 30 restaurants across the world.
“It is this Pacific regional influence that truly inspires Saito, utilizing fresh tropical fruits, balancing delicately with the freshest fish flown in daily to create inspired dishes including rolls and sashimi,” a press release says.
“De Haan is developing an equally inspired beverage program, utilizing techniques from the Red Phone Booth and traditional Japanese ingredients such as shiso and yuzu. Rare Japanese whiskey will be showcased at Saito, served over double reverse osmosis ice pressed into a sphere from a Taisin ice mold.”
The new Atlanta restaurant is part of a plan by Marx Realty to turn the structure into a 48,000-square-foot mixed-up development with office and retail space with top-notch dining.
