Perkin Restaurant is going with a name change after several decades in the food business — but that’s not all. New dishes and a redesigned restaurant experience is on the way.
The company, which is operated by Atlanta-based Huddle House, is now known as iPerkins American Food Co., melding its classic American hospitality with a fresh perspective that honors its humble beginnings.
Perkins Restaurant: A History
From its origins in a 1958 pancake house in the Midwest heartland, Perkins has grown into a prominent family dining brand with nearly 300 locations across the United States and Canada.

Their hospitality, accentuated with a strong commitment to kindness, continues to shine through as a key differentiator along with innovation to continually evolve and offer guests what they want and crave.
A New Name, New Look
At the 2024 Brand Conference in Minnesota, attended by corporate teams, franchisees, and stakeholders, Perkins unveiled its new name.
The brand is undergoing comprehensive updates, including a new name, logo, restaurant aesthetics, and enhanced services—all while staying true to its core values of value, quality, and service. The fresh brand identity will debut next week across advertising, social media, the website, and interior signage.
