Lawrenceville, Ga. — As the 2026 FIFA World Cup unfolds in nearby Atlanta, Gwinnett County residents won’t have to travel far to experience the excitement. A series of free, family-friendly community watch parties dubbed “Kick It in the Nnett” will bring the global tournament directly to local parks, ballparks, and town centers across the county.

The initiative, presented in partnership with local cities, Explore Gwinnett, and the Gwinnett Stripers, offers fans of all ages a chance to gather, cheer, and celebrate without purchasing a ticket to the matches themselves.
First Up: Spain vs. Cabo Verde at Coolray Field
The series kicks off on Monday, June 15, at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville with a watch party for Spain versus Cabo Verde. Gates open at 11 a.m., with the live broadcast beginning at noon on the stadium’s big screen. Attendees can watch from ballpark seats or spread out on the field with blankets (chairs and staking not permitted) for a unique ballpark viewing experience.Families can enjoy inflatables, face painting, and other activities in a dedicated Kid Zone, while ballpark concessions will be available for purchase.

Suwanee Celebrates Congo DR vs. UzbekistanOn Saturday, June 27, the City of Suwanee and Explore Gwinnett will host a watch party at Town Center on Main & DeLay Nature Park from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. for the Congo DR versus Uzbekistan matchup.Fans will enjoy the match on a giant outdoor screen amid a lively festival atmosphere complete with food trucks, family-friendly activities, and themed entertainment in the heart of Suwanee.
Peachtree Corners Hosts Round of 16 ActionThe Round of 16 takes center stage on Tuesday, July 7, at Peachtree Corners Town Center. The free event begins at 11 a.m. with a live DJ, family activities, and pre-match entertainment before kickoff at noon.Local restaurants throughout Town Center will offer special FIFA-themed food and drink deals, providing plenty of options for fans to grab a bite while watching the high-stakes match.
Norcross Welcomes Semifinal Drama
The series concludes with a Semifinal watch party on Wednesday, July 15, at Lillian Webb Park in Norcross from 2 to 7 p.m. Hosted in partnership with the City of Norcross, the event starts at 2 p.m. with live music and pre-match activities, with kickoff at 3 p.m. on the big screen.Families can look forward to kids’ activities, a variety of food and beverage vendors, and a vibrant community atmosphere perfect for enjoying one of the tournament’s biggest matches.
