Reality TV Star to Open 2nd Atlanta Restaurant

Reality TV star and serial entrepreneur Karlie Redd, known for her vibrant presence on MTV’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, is set to make waves in the Atlanta dining scene with the grand opening of her latest venture, Red Room Bistro, which will feature “American Soul Caribbean-infused” cuisine.

When Is Red Room Bistro Opening in Atlanta?

Red Room Bistro is slated to open its doors on Sunday, September 28, 2025.

Located at 255 Trinity Ave in the heart of Downtown Atlanta, the luxury lounge and restaurant promises to deliver an upscale dining experience infused with Southern, American, and Caribbean flavors.

Red Room Bistro marks Redd’s second restaurant venture in the Atlanta area, following the success of Johnny’s World Famous Chicken and Waffles, which she co-owns with singer Ne-Yo and chef Crystal Smith in College Park.

The new establishment, a collaboration with renowned restaurateur “Ace,” is a rebranded version of the former Monaco Hookah Lounge and aims to offer a unique blend of fine dining and vibrant ambiance.

Inspired by Redd’s father and late stepmother, who owned a successful restaurant for decades, Red Room Bistro is designed to be more than just a place to eat—it’s an experience

“With Red Room Bistro, I wanted to create more than just a restaurant. I wanted to create an experience,” Redd said in a recent statement. “This will be a vibe unlike anything else in Atlanta, where great food, atmosphere, and unforgettable moments all come together.”

What’s On The Menu at Red Room Bistro?

The restaurant’s menu will feature a diverse array of dishes, including tapas-style offerings, Caribbean-inspired cuisine, and Atlanta’s beloved staple: wings.

The space, curated by designer Ty Young, boasts a sultry red color palette that pays homage to Redd’s name, creating an upscale yet inviting atmosphere perfect for romantic dates, girls’ nights out, or lively gatherings with friends and family. Operating hours will be Tuesday through Saturday from 5 PM to 2 AM and Sunday from 5 PM to midnight, with a special “Bunnies and Bubbles Brunch” planned for Sundays from 12 PM to 4 PM.

Red Room Bistro has already generated buzz with a successful soft opening last week, and the official grand opening will kick off with a red-carpet event from 1 PM to 2 PM, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony from 2 PM to 3 PM on September 28. The event is expected to draw local celebrities, food enthusiasts, and fans of Redd’s dynamic persona.

Redd, a Trinidadian-raised entrepreneur, emphasized the cultural significance of the bistro, noting that it merges her and Ace’s love for food and fellowship. “This is about family, culture, and creating a space where people can connect over incredible cuisine,” she shared. The restaurant is poised to become one of Atlanta’s premier dining destinations, blending elevated cuisine with exceptional hospitality.

Following the success of Johnny’s Chicken and Waffles, which opened in 2020 and expanded to a second location in Midtown in 2022, Redd continues to solidify her reputation as a savvy businesswoman.

Her ability to balance her entertainment career with entrepreneurial ventures showcases her dedication to leaving a lasting mark on Atlanta’s vibrant culinary landscape.

For those eager to experience Red Room Bistro, reservations are now available through OpenTable. As Downtown Atlanta prepares to welcome this bold new addition, Karlie Redd’s Red Room Bistro is set to redefine fine dining with a cultural twist, offering a space where food, music, and community converge.

Final Word

Karlie Redd’s new food spot adds to the stable of celebrity-owned restaurants in Georgia’s largest city. If you’re not into the fame, you can also head to Midtown, where the best restaurants on the Beltline all have excellent customer service and food. What separates them from many of the other spots is that they’re on the urban playground called the Beltline.

The ATL has other cool eateries as well. If you’re gluten-free, there’s plenty of options. Same goes for keto-friendly restaurants or Asian fare in Atlanta.
