The historical thriller stars Mark Wahlberg as a mafia hitman working with a young Black special agent, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, to investigate civil rights murders in Mississippi in 1966. Filming is taking place across metro Atlanta during this period.

The comedy stars Will Ferrell as a TV judge and Zac Efron, directed by Nicholas Stoller, and follows a young convict who takes a reality TV courtroom hostage, blaming the judge for ruining his life.

Regretting You is a full-length feature film from Paramount Pictures began filming in Atlanta, Georgia in March. The romantic drama, based on Colleen Hoover’s 2019 novel, stars Allison Williams, Mckenna Grace, Dave Franco, Mason Thames, Willa Fitzgerald, Scott Eastwood, and Clancy Brown, and is directed by Josh Boone. Filming has been taking place in various locations around metro Atlanta, including a confirmed shoot at Refuge Coffee Co. in Clarkston.

The Dish, from Universal Pictures, is being directed by Steven Spielberg. This sci-fi film about a UFO is slated to start filming in metro Atlanta in early March, pending delays. Pre-production was anticipated to start in January or February with principal photography happening in March. The film is set to leverage Atlanta’s studio infrastructure like Assembly Studios.

Rolling Loud

Rolling Loud festival stars Owen Wilson.

Rolling Loud (working title) is a film about the popular Rolling Loud festival, a music concert that takes place every year. The film is a comedic movie starring Owen Wilson and Matt Rife which began filming in Atlanta in January 2025.

Filming for the movie took place in Miami, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia during the winter. With a production window extending into early spring, March will see continued filming, possibly wrapping up principal photography.

Scream 7

Scream 7 is being filmed in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Scream franchise is coming back to the big screen, courtesy of Paramount Pictures. The seventh installment of the horror franchise started filming in Georgia in early January 2025. The film is directed by Kevin Williamson, the original writer of the Scream franchise. 

The screenplay was written by Guy Busick, who also co-wrote Scream (2022) and Scream VI. 

With a significant budget and a complex shooting schedule, the film, being shot at LionsGate in Atlanta, expected to continue through March, utilizing Atlanta’s soundstages and eerie suburban settings.
