Earlier this year, Atlanta chef Robert Phalen of the One Eared Stag opened a restaurant in East Lake that is especially close to our Southern hearts.

Mary Hoopa’s House of Fried Chicken & Oysters has been serving since February 2018. The eatery is located in the Hosea + 2nd development.

If you want a full meal, the menu includes delights such as Whole Bird, Half Bird, Clam Wraps and Oyster Chowder.

As for the restaurant’s name, it comes from the caretaker of Phalen’s mother-in-law, Mary Hoopa. She was known for fresh food straight from the garden to the table.
