Dairy Queen is giving Rewards members a free cheeseburger through Friday for National Cheeseburger Day.
National Cheeseburger Day falls on Friday, September 18, 2026, and Dairy Queen started celebrating early. From September 14 through September 18, DQ Rewards members can get a free single Original Cheeseburger Signature Stackburger with any app or online order of $1 or more.
Free Stackburger from DQ: How To Get It
That window matters. Unlike many chains that limit their holiday specials to September 18 only, DQ gave customers a five-day head start. Tomorrow is the last day to redeem it.
The burger itself is DQ’s classic single Stackburger: one seasoned 100% real beef patty, melted sharp American cheese, pickles, ketchup, and mustard on a toasted bun.
How to get it
- Sign in to an existing DQ Rewards account, or create one in the DQ Mobile App or at dairyqueen.com.
- Find the offer in the Deals section.
- Place a pickup or delivery order of $1 or more and apply the coupon.
- Redeem at a participating DQ Grill & Chill location.
New members should sign up as soon as possible. DQ says deals can take up to 24 hours to appear after an account is created. With the offer ending Friday, waiting until the last minute could mean missing it.

Why it stands out
National Cheeseburger Day has become a loyalty-app holiday. McDonald’s, Burger King, Smashburger, and others are also running free or discounted burgers, almost all behind a rewards account and a small minimum purchase. DQ’s version is one of the simpler ones: $1 minimum, five days instead of one, and available to both new and existing members.
