The series also sheds light on founder, Michael “Mr. Magic” Barney and how he grew the club into what it is today.

The three-part documentary was produced by Drake’s Dreamcrew Entertainment, Jermaine Dupri, Cole Brown and actress and Atlanta Hawks co-owner Jami Gertz.

“The inner workings of Magic City and its prevalence in hip-hop are remarkably mysterious – it’s a wonder the story has yet to be told,” Gertz said in a statement. “Atlanta is my adopted home and a place I’m looking forward to celebrating through this story.”

Atlanta has some of the best strip clubs in the Southeast, but Magic City — known for its celebrity clientele that spans NBA players and powerful businessmen — has long been the undisputed king of them.

Along with Dupri, executive producers include Adel “Future” Nur, Peter Nelson and Michael Mauldin.

“Magic City is a second home for me. It’s the one place where celebrities, hustlers, politicians, and Atlanta locals all come together. I’ve watched it evolve over the years from a local joint to an internationally-recognized spot. It’s about time we tell this story the right way,” Dupri said in a statement.

Why Is Magic City So Popular?

Magic City has become an iconic establishment within Atlanta’s cultural landscape. It has been featured in numerous music videos, documentaries, and even TV shows, which has further enhanced its reputation and drawn attention from a broader audience.

Atlanta is known for its vibrant nightlife, and Magic City has become a prominent part of that scene. The club operates late into the night, making it a popular destination for those seeking entertainment and a lively atmosphere during late hours.
