Eat My Biscuits Opens In East Point

    3 Min Read

The new all-day breakfast concept, Eat My Biscuits, opened in downtown East Point on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023.  The eatery is the latest food spot near a MARTA Station in the Atlanta area.

A grand opening for Eat My Biscuits is set for October 8, according to Vanetta Roy, owner of the all-day brunch spot. A seasoned restaurateur, Roy also owns Surf’s Up in Chicago.

Eat My Biscuits Opens On Main Street In East Point

The restaurant, housed in an old auto shop on East Point’s Main Street, is spread out over 2,200-square feet and will feature pink an and green- colored decor that is lady-like and yet risqué.

“The brand is fun and interesting—a little suggestive,” Roy told the publication. “The goal is to be sexy but not rachet.”

Speaking to Atlanta Magazine, Roy said Atlanta has been an aspirational place for her since she was a teenager.

“I’ve wanted to be in Atlanta since I was 19,” she continues. “I felt like there were a lot of people like me here: Black, professional, with goals, and doing well. It looked like a Black mecca,” she told the magazine.

When Is Eat My Biscuits Opening In East Point?

While there is a lot of work still to be done to the space situated on Main Street, Eat My Biscuits has a targeted opening of late August 2023.

When it happens, there’s no doubt that it will be one of the top food events in Atlanta.

What’s On The Menu At Eat My Biscuits?

At Eat My Biscuits, the menu, which was created by Roy with the help of culinary brothers chef Zerrod Wilks and Zerrick-Rafael Solec will feature fluffy, fried biscuits in an assortment of flavors including strawberry shortcake, blueberry and some varieties sprinkled with confection sugar.

And yes, you can have a drink there as well. The beverage program at Eat My Biscuits will feature a full-service bar with traditional cocktails and martinis.

The provocative logo, which features biscuits in the shape of a woman’s bottom, intentionally pushes the envelope, Roy said.

“So being a Black woman, it’s that two strike rule, so I want Eat My Biscuits to feel feminine, but not overdone. Although certain elements will be girly, men will want to come for the women and biscuits. I really want to create a vibe,” she told WhatNowAtlanta.

Where Is Eat My Biscuits Located In East Point?

Eat My Biscuits is located at 2821 Main Street, East Point, GA. Here’s a map to help you find it.

    Final Bite

Eat My Biscuits aims to be not only one of the best breakfast places in Atlanta, but an all-day food spot for hungry MARTA passengers.
