    Heads up, #TallWomenTwitter, Netflix is searching for a female lead who is 5-foot 10 or taller for the lead role in its original comedy movie titled “Tall Girl.” That woman can be from Atlanta or anywhere, it’s a worldwide search.

    Netflix sees the movie as a fresh take of the teen hits “Pretty in Pink” and “16 Candles” starring Molly Ringwald.

    The person who wins the part must be between the ages of 13 and 21. The film is scheduled to begin shooting in January 2019, so you must act quickly if you’re interested in applying.

    The principal character is 16-year-old Jodi, who is mocked in high school because of her height. The story arc has Jodi becoming more confident in her appearance and eventually winning over her classmates as well as romantic interest.

    Netflix producers are accepting auditions at  tallgirlcasting.com between Nov. 5-21, 2018.

    Signed on to direct “Tall Girl” is Nzinga Stewart of Grey’s Anatomy” fame among other thing. “Tall Girl” was written by Sam Wolfson (“Andi Mack,” “Finding Carter”).

     Movie producers for the “American Soul” project are currently casting extras for an upscale Supper Club scenes set in the 1970s for the TV series American Soul. Please review the breakdown below.
    Casting directors are just checking availability at this time. Here are the details:
    Extra Roles:
    Upscale Supper Club Patron Extras, Hostess Extra, Bartender Extras, Band Extras, Waitress Extras, Model Extras, Bouncer Extras, Sound Engineer Extra, Roadie Extras.
    Filming Dates:
    Wednesday, 10/3/18

    Filming Location:

    Rate:
    $75 for 8 hours (you are guaranteed 8 hours, with overtime after 8 hours)
    Call Time:

    -You must be available for a 12 hour filming day or longer on set.

    Hair/Makeup Guidelines for Booked Extras:

    -If you are booked to work as an extra in these scenes, this series is set in the 1970s and has very specific hair/makeup requirements that you must follow. If you are not able to adjust your hair to meet these requirements, please do not submit.
    -If you are cast for this extra role, you must come with clean hair and don’t add products such as edge control, gel, or hairspray.
    -Weave can be worn if it’s 100% human hair and if the weave is a solid color (brown, dark brown, black)
    -If you have natural hair, shampoo or co-wash it let it swell into its natural state.
    -ABSOLUTELY no synthetic hair extensions or wigs unless it’s an Afro (solid colors brown, dark brown, black, natural hair colors) (hair in 1971 is full. Hair must be able to hold a curl)
    -Please remove all braids, two strand twists, cornrows if they are not short enough to be placed under a wig. No dreadlocks.
    -No modern hair colors (ombré, highlights, balayage, blue, pink, etc.)
    -If you have straight hair or relaxed hair please roll your hair with small rollers if possible. Don’t remove the rollers and make sure it’s completely dry before you arrive.
    -No nose rings. If you have tattoos, they should be covered by clothing or makeup.
    -Women – Should come wearing very minimal makeup. No sculpted brows.
    -Men – No big beards. Preferably clean shaven. If you have facial hair, it must be short and well groomed. Mustaches are acceptable.

    If you can move the crowd at a party or nightclub, then you could star in a major TV movie. Hylton Casting is looking for experienced DJs with equipment to work as extras on an upcoming major cable network TV movie.

    Shooting will take place on Tuesday, August 7 and Thursday, August 8 and 9. The pay rate is $200 for a 12-hour shift, which is guaranteed if you are selected.
