Cascade is known for its illustrious history as the center of black Atlanta in the 1970s and 1980s. More recently, the area has seen the rise of high-dollar homes in astute neighborhoods anchored by big-time preachers, doctors and lawyers.

A small but vibrant restaurant scene continues to thrive along the Cascade corridor as well. If you want something to eat, try these well-known southside Atlanta restaurants
